  • It is a stupid question.

The Ukraine war was started as an offensive war by Russia. So obviously Russia should pay.

The Gaza War was started by Hamas, when Hamas abducted ~250 innocent Israelis into Gaza. And Israel entered Gaza to get them back. The Palestinians then proceeded to use their cities as defensive battlegrounds, which under the laws of war often gives Israel the right to hit those buildings. The moral responsibility for those building being destroyed is hence often carried by Hamas.

  • Maybe your and my idea of what private means is different.

In this case, I mean that they are not the state. The state itself censors all mentions in their own communications. And the state also censors mentions by people who are not the state, i.e. private persons.

  • But if they were to stage it, what do you think they would put on the manifesto? They hate him for having too nice hair?

Fox News demonizes a caricature of Democrats every single day. I don't watch Fox News, but surely Fox News would be able to write such a "manifest". It would probably include mentions of stuff like "antifa".

  • why would any government be okay with people commemorating an attempt to overthrow them?

Because that is free private speech. That is what free speech means.

You are allowed to commemorate Jan 6 in the US. I think you are an idiot if you do so, but that it still your right to free speech.

  • Firstly that’s public.

It is a private person saying a thing. As opposed to the state saying a thing.

    And the text also says:

all three face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

    You write:

    you Brits

    WTF? I am not British.

  • From https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/campaigns/2025/05/what-is-the-tiananmen-crackdown/

Alliance vice-chairperson Chow Hang-tung and 25 activists were prosecuted in 2020 simply because they insisted on lighting candles in Victoria Park despite the government prohibiting the vigil that year, ostensibly on Covid-19 grounds. In 2021, after the police banned the vigil once again, Chow was arrested on 4 June after encouraging people on social media to commemorate the crackdown by lighting candles.

Ultimately, Chow was jailed for 22 months for taking part and inciting others to take part in an unauthorised assembly. She and fellow Hong Kong Alliance leaders Lee Cheuk Yan and Albert Ho have also been charged with “inciting subversion” under the National Security Law and all three face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

  • But if this is all a plot by the US government, and the assassin is presumably in on it, then why would the manifest be talking about pedophiles at all? That is not the kind of fake manifest Team Trump would have written.

  • Well, it is undisputed that the CPC censors all mentions of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre. Both public and private - the US may lie, but private free speech is still allowed. So can we please stop pretending that China in its current form is not doing evil?

  • Doesn't make sense. If O’Donnell is in league with Trump, then why would she be butchering Trump like this?

  • through storing some thermal heat produced now

If prices are going negative, then I would think that people are already doing this all they can.

  • Will be interesting to see the British mental gymnastics this time around.

What do you mean? The UK's claim to the Falklands is ironclad, both legally and morally.

  • He is too cute to be guilty. So he is clearly innocent. Look at those eyes!

  • I feel like labels like "liberal", "conservative", "socialist", "right wing", "centrist", and "left wing" are largely meaningless, as used in the US today.

  • On Wikipedia, a page titled "infamous liberals" would have a definition and link to the "liberal" page. This page doesn't, which immediately gives the impression that the definition is "people I don't like". But I looked it up: https://www.conservapedia.com/Liberal

A liberal (alternately called a left-winger or leftist) in America is someone who advocates an increase in government spending, power, and control, typically through taxpayer-funded programs such as Welfare, failed public schools, ObamaCare and support for wasteful foreign aid. Liberals often support the censorship and the denial of Christian values[1] and conservative viewpoints.

Trump has proposed a $1.5 trillion military budget, so just government spending obviously doesn't make someone a liberal. "Liberals often support" is something they claim liberals do, seemingly not something that makes a person a liberal.

So the claim seems to boil down to government control over the population being what makes someone a liberal. But surely the most government control-freaky in the US are the people behind ICE? And which party is it that wants to micro-manage control over women's bodies? Which party has elements which want to forbid interracial marriage? Which party is it that want to forbid no-fault diverse? Which party is it that loves the war on drugs, largely even marihuana?

I also like how liberals support "failed public schools" and "wasteful foreign aid". So if I support non-failed public schools and non-wasteful foreign aid, then I am not a liberal?

  • yea, the double standard is real.

Trump is an actual fascist. Who said he would rule as dictator. Unless the cardboard cutout was also a fascist, there is no double standard here.

  • I assume that Democrats can decide who is allowed to call themselves a "Democrat". So just make a rule that nobody is allowed to run in an election where they will be 70+ years old on the day of taking office.

  • Title does say "harvest... guy", so harvestman. Which are not spiders.

  • Is there any actual sources for that, except for social media posts citing each other?
