I HIGHLY recommend The Sabateur as well. It's not super polished, but it was really cool to clear out areas of Nazi-occupied Paris by any violent means necessary. I played it when it originally released.
Plus, that gameplay just seems *chef's kiss here recently.
Like you, I bought it for a few dollars on GOG. It's still good.
More importantly, I am sorry that you are being made to feel this way.
I have found some solace in volunteering and reading. I take some of the time that I dedicated to TV and doomscrolling to something without an internet connection.
The wild thing is this: you feel more connected when the wifi is down.

One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.

The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.

One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.

The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one's own.

Beliefs should conform to one's best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one's beliefs.

People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one's best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.

Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.
But, I will say this: if you are with a person who won't consider adoption, but you want that to be an option for you, then you should communicate that in a healthy way.
Its not something that I would bring up on a first date, mind you. Sometimes the "kids" conversation comes up. You could always say that you have always dreamed about having a family with a spouse (if that is your thing), x number of kids, white picket fence, 2.1 cars, and a goldfish. It helps to get that kind of stuff out of the way.
But I would wait until a couple of dates before bringing up the nuance of how you would make that dream come true.
That sounds really similar to some bars that I make.
I take cashews and dates, blend them in a food processor to make a paste, and then add protein powder for flavor (and protein). I press them in a pan, cool them, and then cut them. I sometimes put them in the dehydrator if I want them to get a bit less chewy, but I usually skip that step.
They dont last long.
Im going to try your bar recipe. I always have dried fruit and nuts sitting around, and I have some unflavored pea protein.
I came here to be misremembered.
