  • PP was inherently anti progressive and obsessed with culture war shtick/identity politics. Carney is PP, minus all that stuff. in the way that Carney takes all PP'S would be political wedge tactics, like immigration reform, criminal punishment reform, and oil infrastructure expansion ideas, amongst a laundry list of others. and uses those ideas for his own platform, while not directly attacking the "wokes" in the open, for rural voter brownie points.

in that way he is better than PP for what liberal/conservative voters think progressives are in this capitalistic hell hole masquerading around as a liberal parlimentary democracy. in actuality he is harming everyone in a certain tax bracket, equally. just not the tax bracket that needs to be harmed, by everyone.

the only progressives that exist are anti capitalist leftists, who dont really see themselves as "leftists". they are just people who wish to dismantle the power structures that enslave us, harm us, and harm the environement. their basic tenants are simple. is it good for the environment? and is it good for people? and if it isnt, well, then maybe we should get rid of it and replace it with something that is good for people, and the environement.

and when you boil it down, it really is that simple.

but capitalists have spent trillions convincing the whole world that there is coke, and that there is pepsi. you can only like one, and you HAVE to choose one. theres no other option, and if you find one you are a dirty evil socialist and commie who needs to be shot in the streets like the freedom hating dog you are!

ironically coke and pepsi are both owned by the same group of insitutional investors, with whom they are beholden to. particularily black rock, and vanguard, as well as state street. which is a perfect example of corporations "hedging their bets" the same way corporations and the mega wealthy hedge their bets with politicians. a fake rivarly gets the people motivated, gets them talking, gets them moving, engaging. voting. completely unawares at the larger game at play.

and in there lies the illusion of modern democracy, yes, even in Canada.

corpos own the government, the government controls the people. the people do the work, the corpos extract the profits, the people work for peanuts, and die earlier from a lifetime of stress, and lackluster material conditions due to the nature of labour under capitalism. while being completely distracted and made ignorant by the ever advancing technology behind the new bread and circus, or "door dash and netflix"....who knows what itll be next. nutrient paste with addictive chemicals to rewire your brain to not notice the lack of flavour. as flavour is for the premium plus subscription at 299.99 a week. and i dont know, maybe something akin to brain dances from cyber punk? basically a VR machine that makes you forget about your material conditions for as long as you can afford the compute.

basically everyone is likely to be too busy cumming all over themselves while hooked up to some kind of VR system and a nutrient IV bag to revolt against the ruling class during the worst of the climate collapse and resource wars.

and thats for what used to be the middle class. everyone else will likely either already be dead or drafted and shipped off to some forever war that has no meaning, just so they can keep testing new weapons from the safety of their "below nuclear threat level" bunkers, deep underground. complete with child harems and human meat pizzarias.

everyone on the surface whos too poor to afford "nutrient paste and pixels" but capable of fighting will either be used in the meat grinder, jailed and enslaved, or hunted by machine police because they represent a potential threat based on their palantir profile. simply because they said the word "cheeto" in 2017. and that is now considered hate speech against a minority group (the ruling class).

i can go on forever with the "what ifs" but to be honest this type of shit is already happening today. all over the world. so its really not so much a prediction, and more of a crude reflection of our dystopian reality that everyone is too busy jacking off to come to terms with.

also, i voted NDP. knowing full well it wouldnt do a god damn thing, i just had a gut feeling that the last minute switcheroo that brought us the "banker" who gave financial advice to harper during the 2008 financial crisis, and helped oversee the financial side of brexit, was likely not a good omen for the things to come, at least not for the working class who footed the bill in both of those situations.

needless to say, as pointless as i find voting in the face of a developing authoritarian surveillance state, i do feel a lot less guilty than i would had i voted for the surveillance capitalist banker bro whos pushing data centers and oil infrastructure, or the little trump wannaPP.

the only change we can hope to see in the future will come through a very violent revolution. and thats the case for every capitalist nation. this is why they are pushing AI so hard. to disarm, subdue, surveil, and shrink the population, to "managable levels" and ensure the safety and privileges lf the ruling class are maintained. through the automation of each one of those processes.

either get ready for some fentanyl quality slop to numb yourself to the pain of imminent collapse, or arm yourself with knowledge, skills, and other impliments and start getting friendly with your local league of ordinary gentlemen, and start a "book club".....maybe there you will find the answer to ...... what is to be done?

its up to you, really. good luck, have fun, dont drink and drive.

  • so the climate change/economics/antitrump is now building maga run pipelines and LNG plants, and is actively supporting a war that not only increases the price of gas, but also vastly increases virtually every other type of commodity in the country, while basically nodding along to everything trump says, while pretending he has some kind of secret master plan, which is ultimately a master plan to pull the wool over the eyes of liberal voters, while he carves up canadian resources and land and sells it to the highest bidder. while ALSO making cuts to social programs that people nees in order to survive. while also attempting to push canada into the spot light as a global reserve bank for the middle powers military spending, and using tax dollars to drastically increase military/police spending. all the while completely removing all rights to privacy for citizens and then willingly handing that information over to a country, without warrant, that has said it wishes to annex us.

disarm the populace, surveille them, make them hungry, desparate. always have a reserve of people willing to work for less. then eventually replace the majority of them with AI and robotics. while creating a reserve force that can squash any would be revolution, all in time for the elites to fuck off to their bunkers before climate change wipes most of us out.

the liberal (capitalist) mind set in action.

you can have rights, if you got the money to pay for them.

  • a bit more background on this sourcd.

    from the electronicintifada wikipedia page.

    • "founded in February 2001[2] by Ali Abunimah, Arjan El Fassed, Laurie King, and Nigel Parry.[3]

In April 2008, The Electronic Intifada published an article containing e-mails exchanged by members of the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA).[4] The stated purpose of the group was "help[ing] us keep Israel-related entries on Wikipedia from becoming tainted by anti-Israel editors".[5][4][6] Five Wikipedia editors involved in a CAMERA campaign were sanctioned by Wikipedia administrators, who wrote that the project's open nature "is fundamentally incompatible with the creation of a private group to surreptitiously coordinate editing by ideologically like-minded individuals".[5]

After Al Jazeera decided not to publish The Lobby, its documentary about the pro-Israel political lobby in the US,[7][8] The Electronic Intifada published a leaked version online in 2018.[9][10][11]"

-Conflict with NGO Monitor over Dutch funding

"In 2010, the Jerusalem-based pro-Israel organization NGO Monitor criticized the Dutch Interchurch Organisation for Development Cooperation (ICCO) for providing financial support to The Electronic Intifada, which it said was antisemitic and compared Israeli policies with those of the Nazi regime.[12] Gerald M. Steinberg, head of the organization, described The Electronic Intifada as "an explicitly pro-Palestinian political and ideological Web site"[13] that hosts "anti-Israel propaganda."[14] Marinus Verweij, chairman of ICCO's executive board said "The EI reports frequently about the violations of human rights and international humanitarian law by the State of Israel. In no way is the EI anti-Israel or anti-Semitic."[12] He described The Electronic Intifada as "an important source of information from the occupied Palestinian territories" frequently used by newspapers such as The Washington Post and the Financial Times.[12]

Dutch Foreign Ministry spokesman Ward Bezemer stated that whether ICCO had promoted antisemitism, a criminal offence, is to be determined by the Public Prosecutor on the basis of Dutch law. On 26 November 2010, Dutch Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthal, who is Jewish and has an Israeli wife, said: "I will look into the matter personally. If it appears that the government subsidized NGO ICCO does fund The Electronic Intifada, it will have a serious problem with me."[12] Rosenthal later told IKON radio that "anti-semitism is not the issue" but "my concern about calls to contribute to boycotts and embargoes".[15]

EI co-founder MP Arjan El-Fassed, who also wrote for the website Al-Awda, told the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant that the complaint by NGO Monitor was related to one quote from an interview with Jewish Holocaust survivor and anti-Zionist Hajo Meyer in June 2009. Meyer told EI: "I can write up an endless list of similarities between Nazi Germany and Israel."[16] In the same article, the Director of the Centre for Information and Documentation Israel (CIDI), Ronnie Naftaniel, said that The Electronic Intifada is not an antisemitic website. He stated that, while everybody should be free to express their opinion, the Dutch government should not indirectly fund a website that regularly calls for a boycott of Israel.[17]

On 14 January 2011, ICCO decided not to change its policy after a discussion held with the Dutch foreign minister.[18] In response to ICCO's decision, The Jerusalem Post reported that Dutch Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthal "will monitor ICCO's activities. He will consider this as a minus when he makes up the balance when ICCO applies again in a new subsidies round," as said by Ward Bezemer, a spokesman for Rosenthal."[19] Partos, a national umbrella for more than a hundred Dutch civil society organizations in the international development cooperation sector, strongly condemned Rosenthal's threats to ICCO's funding. "Rosenthal's position vis-à-vis ICCO creates a dangerous precedent for the future. Development organisations will have to continue to fight for an independent voice in the debate. Partos will ... stand up for that."[20]

In April 2011, Professor of International Cooperation Studies Paul Hoebink argued that Foreign Minister Uri Rosenthal has no say in Dutch government funding to ICCO because Minister Ben Knapen holds the portfolio. In addition, ICCO's contribution to The Electronic Intifada is paid with ICCO's own funds. Professor of International Law and Dutch politicians for the Labour Party, Nico Schrijver considered Rosenthal's threat to cut government funding if ICCO continues its financial support to The Electronic Intifada as very worrying."

  • because the theory was created via presented evidence from sources they personally believe to be "true". or are formulated by what you would logically assume someone else would do, based on history, personality, peer group, and political alignment, etc. a theory is an assumption based on logic. for instance, i think the ruling class will do whatever means possible to maintain and achieve new levels of power. logic and history dictates that would come at the cost of regular working class people. so when presented with a situation like for example, the middle east. we can assume based on history that the US government is primarily controlled by capital. and capital only cares about infinite growth which requires consumption. and the US government is willing to lie to the masses in order to motivate them to do the work of capital.

corruption isnt a theory, its merely in this case a symptom of personal motivation, which allocates another block of evidence which leads to the theory, or logic, to be true, or self evident.

ive personally "predicted" trumps first and second election, the AI boom, and its related consumption of hardware and capital. as well as the invasion of iran, the oil shortage, the round about merger of the israeli and US army. and the eventual failure of that war, which will ultimately lead to the collapse of what was the previous idea of the US, as a nation. and its descent into fascism, and technofeudalism. i "predicted" concentration camps, forced human testing, torture, rape, and murder in and around said camps, of immigrants and dissidents. the massive increase in antisemitsm due to the actions of the israeli government and its genocide, and the purpose driven confusion by social media platforms and the powers that be, between anti zionism and anti semestism. for the greater purpose of creating the illusion of prophecy, for the sake of wealth extraction and power expansion by the ruling class. ive also predicted that canada would also become surveillance state complete with digital ID, and would band together with US corporations like palantir to build said state. all this and a large amount of smaller yet still considerable "predictions" around geopolitics and the actions of capital.

all of this over the last several years, mainly since covid when i had the time to sit down and read a shit load of books on history, psychology, economics, political systems, and general geopolitical relations. and deep need to consume information from the most seemingly unbiased news sources.

its all a vague guess, or an assumption of logic based on a foundation of basic knowledge in these aspects. its not amazing, its just like throwing a dart at a dart board, it usually lands somewhere on the board, but the general thesis remains the same. and more often than not, when it comes to predicting the moves of capital, its skewed towards the option that allows massive wealth extraction and the consolidation of power. and that usually predicts the outcomes in most geopolitical situations.

i assume this a common sense take. read, verify your sources to the best of your ability, assume people who have done bad things for money and power will likely continue to do bad things for money and power. but when it comes to verifying facts and news today, its incredibly difficult to do so. the waters have been muddied, and vast swathes of data was erased and replaced. open archives were attacked by the trump administration, and they have been actively working in tandem with big tech to suppress and erase anything that threatens them, which isnt a new tactic for any wannabe totalitarian state.

its the entire premise of 1984, when power is consolidated to a point, the views of the masses overwhelmingly reflect the wants of the ruling class. and everything else can be skewed, erased, or manipulated to serve that end. which means that trusting institutions that are beholden to "the party", means taking their view of history at face value. and that view ultimately means your submission to the state.

so you either have to read between the lines, and make logical assumptions based on either what you already know, or on sources that you believe to be trustworthy, hopefully based on logical evidence that they are trustworthy. who owns them, what are their beliefs, overall narrative, and where that eventually leads, etc etc.

basically, all we can do now is trust your gut. and do whatever it takes to work towards a future where we take care of eachother and the environement. everything else is just noise and spin to keep you working and stupid.

  • you can download gun breakdown files online for use in videogames, you can even crack games that already exist with those files present. you can also just model them yourself for free in blender. theres literally no way to stop literally anyone from making their own guns. the unabomber made one in his shack with spare parts and basic tools decades before 3d printers were a thought in the publics minds.

if there is a will, there is a way

  • ummmm....well, actually. i am the main character of the world. soooooo........ have your little side story somewhere else, comic relief boy.

  • bro admitted to watching and enjoying child porn of traci lords on the man show in the early 2000s.

she was 15 at the time.

he never had anything to sell. except lead laced supplements or some shit.

  • well hes not very tall.

  • hell yea

  • they give money and resources to poor people. and it alleviates them.

  • im out here wondering why anyone would hand anyone credit card information to watch already downloaded pirated content.

open source to me means open source, not open/paywall/ source.

i prefer my open source free with a lil jank. as god intended.

  • it does better than a 3060. and that aint bad.

  • im more of a bidet man, m'self.

  • currency is powered by faith. if nobody believes in its value, then it has none.

  • unlikely means there is still a non zero chance. and based on the transcripts of how these MPs speak about it, it seems that all parties and all MPs want some version of this bill to pass. giving the government and its enforcers more rights over our privacy. hypervigilance and an aggressive stance against this and those that proposed it should remain at the front of everyones minds. ive written my MP twice over these bills. both times i got a generic response from the office, not the MP, the office of the MP, and both times it was basically "thats nice. we'll bring it up" and based on the transcripts, not one of my points against this bill were brought to light. and it was some pretty simple, blatantly obvious issues that anyone else would have, so its not like it got lost in the sauce or anything. the POS continues to advocate for the bill.

if this passes then MP data will be available by request as well, and its only a matter of time before some wiz kid figures out the right AI prompt to fake a request for data, with all the correct credentials, and gets all the information on these people that they need, for whatever ends they wish to meet.

they simply dont fucking think about how it will effect them and their families in the long run, just the immediate gains from lobbyists, and promises of more power. but i guarantee if it passes, a foreign or domestic bad actor is going to figure out a way to track these people, or blackmail them with this new loop hole. and something bad will happen as a result. and this will be used as an excuse to take even MORE rights away from people. even MORE surveillance, and even more violence against the common man. and it goes far beyond just MPs, this can be used against ANY canadian citizen. it makes all of us more vulnerable, not just to our own government, but literally anyone with access to even a half decent AI model.

this is is some 1984, thought crime bullshit. and for their own sakes, they shouldnt try to emulate it.

we should be publicly shaming everyone who even considers such a bill, and in fact we should be pressuring our MPs to increase privacy protections for canadians. forcing corporations to delete all of our data at our request, amongst a laundry list of other protections. the right to be forgotten or exempt from marketing and tracking data should be a human right.

  • actual leftists dont argue with leftists. the purity test is a myth created by the far right in an attempt to drive an ideological wedge between leftists, and the fence sitting liberal capitalists. its a self sorting myth that pushes liberal capitalists away from full class conciousness based on percieved petty differences. much like the gondolins and the horse men of rohan prior to the battle of gondor, especially under the influence of grima wormtongue, who whispered untruths and falsehoods in the ear of the bewitched king theodan, in an attempt to keep the kingdoms of men divided. even after his bewitchment, king theodan understood that he needed to put away the ledger of sins from their past with gondor, in order to prevent the fall of man. he struggled with this, but ultimately knew what had to be done when gondor called for aid. everything was at stake.

the leftist understands that its always been up vs down. and that left vs right is a distraction myth. we are like the elves, dwarves, and men of middle earth, even the hobbits. fighting against the darkness of sauron. squabbling over petty differences only serves the dark lords mission of division and permanent victory over man, bringing upon an age of darkness the likes we have never seen before.

we fight for what all that is right and good in this world. for freedom, equality, and truth. anyone who says otherwise is under the influence of forces beyond their current understanding. whether or not they succumb to ignorance is a matter of will and intellect. much like fighting the dark influence of the one ring and saurons will, it is ultimately up to the individual to imagine a world not dictated by greed and the persuit of ultimate power. but rather one where all can live together, in equality, harmony, and peace..... in spite of our differences. we as their friends and would be allies also have a duty to guide them when we can, and accept them for their differences, as long as they are willing to fight along side us.

"Never thought I'd die fighting side by side with an Elf."

"What about side by side with a friend?"

    ".....Aye.... I could do that."

we all share this world together, and the time of darkness is upon us all. we should remember what our fight is for, and it is not just for ourselves and our own way of life. but the lives of the men and women, and everyone inbetween and beyond. who, like us, simply want to live a full, free, and peaceful life.

  • there are no communist countries in the world. and there never has been. communism has never been achieved anywhere.

what you are referring to are authoritarian state capitalist societies. they may be communist/socialist in name, just not in praxis.
