  • Oh I am sure it gets you on the next level!

  • My Garmin goes with me everywhere. I would recommend a Garmin to everyone. As someone with ADHD who forgets to charge their electronics, having a watch that only needs to be charged once in 8-10 days is absolutely amazing.

  • I can't convince my wife to buy one. She insists on cooking in a pot on the stove

  • This is great! Can you check how much this weighs? It would be great to know if I can take it backpacking

  • I actually consider that a positive effect of ADHD. Being unable to stop thinking about something until you have all the answers is how we learn, and how people with ADHD tend to have knowledge of various unrelated things. I think it makes us more interesting individuals.. now if only I could stop from going on tangents when talking about something I am passionate about

  • I regret giving away my iPod Touch to my sister. I wish I still had it so I can take it on walks without all the notifications from my phone

  • My Roborock actually also went through diarrhea, but I was able to open it up completely and clean it up with a lot of rubbing alcohol and paper towels. Never had an issue with it again

  • But you could just go with Phillips? They have been using the same heads for a long time I believe. I buy mine from Costco in bulk.

  • I think this must be an American thing, because I have actually never known anyone who doesn't own an electric kettle. It's just so much more efficient!

  • Love my robot vacuum! As someone who works 12+ hours a day, it's such a life saver. We have had our Roborock for 4 years now and it has 0 issues. Any issues I had were easy fixed by just opening the thing up and cleaning inside.

Absolutely love watching Technology Connections. Dude improved my dishwasher game by 400%

  • I am currently in the process of making an arcade cabinet for my Steam Deck! I bought it for my wife, but she basically stopped gaming for now. So, I decided to turn it into an arcade cabinet instead. Love that thing

  • Asklemmy @lemmy.ml

What's a gadget or appliance that you purchased that you would wholeheartedly recommend to others?

  • Same thing happened with OCD as well. It's just natural changes in language. This one will pass as well and there will be a new word in a few years

  • So this actually backfired on us. Once the cat grass was finished, my dumbass cat decided to test every plant to check if they taste like cat grass.

  • That's the Fedora logo!

  • You are going to find all the info you want on YouTube, but one thing most people don't mention is that make sure the ergonomics of your working station are good. The worst part about sharpening knives is the shoulder and back pain from bending over on a kitchen counter. See if you can use a table and chair to sharpen instead. To avoid making a mess, put your Whetstone on a large baking tray.

  • Your variables are already booleans, so you can just write:

    if wearing_glasses and is_brightly_lit

  • Love this! In the western world, we have forgotten the practice of participating in acts that benefit the future generations more than the present. We are too focused on current profits and maximizing gains to realize that acts that don't necessarily benefit you but might benefit future generations are how we have reached where we are today. Our present is built upon the sacrifice and hardwork of those before us.

  • Why do you use two different toothpastes? Night is whitening?

  • In Science, a theory already has proof. We just use it to mean hypothesis colloquially
