The only issue is that car manufacturers are doing the same thing. Make it look like a Tesla, but it doesn't have an engine so we don't need to worry about anything else, but shiny luxury looking. And now it's an EV. It's unfortunate Tesla set the standard.

I took a climate science class and that was the same messaging. Shit is fucking horrid. I probably think about what I learned in that class every day. Especially, as these climate disasters get worse. It's all very predictable. It was also taught about how it would affect our region and I see it all the time.

Parents who charge their kids rent and can afford to pay their bills is absurd. Teaching your kids how to pay for bills in life is probably an important skill. So have them pay for some groceries and their portion of the phone bill. If you literally can't afford to keep paying for them to live with you I get it, but beyond that it's gross and I hate it.

One issue I have with hexbear is that you can't argue with its users on hexbear itself. Most comments from outsiders are deleted within a day, and most of the users aren't interested in discussions and simply resort to name calling and personal attacks. The more "sophisticated" ones will tell you to "read theory". The amount of hexbear users actually capable of producing arguments seems to be very low, at least from my experience.

These issues exist on other instances as well of course, but on hexbear its particularly bad. The only other instances this toxic I have interacted with were lemmygrad and exploding-heads.
