  • I'd like to know what was on the driver's phone that was so much more interesting than a stationary bus a hundred yards in front of them.

  • I've got to be honest, the occasional glitch in Firefox Android is more than worth the price of not seeing the ads and consent banners that Chrome would have forced me to look at.

  • Many = the author. Every time.

  • Well, they need that to stop them being corrupt.

I mean, it hasn't worked so far, but it might.

  • A bunch of the Labour top team are in the "Labour Friends of Israel" group. Starmer is in it, Streeting is in it. As is anybody else with a chance, because anyone else is in the "antisemite" group, and not allowed to do anything.

Don't expect this to change. Farage or the Tories wouldn't change it either.

Us and the septics set Israel up. It's our little project, and we can't do much apart from voting Green (who are now also smeared as antisemites and run by fundamentalist Muslims, despite being run by a gay Jew). Even then the US would prop them up forever. As long as oil is a thing, they need Israel to project power on the Middle East.

  • Not to worry, I've heard everyone is doing their own research these days.

We'll just blissfully ignore that the "research" is them asking a batshit doomsday cult on US social media. Or worse, the US government.

  • We don't want them.

  • Pay me like that and I'll go.

  • Well he's got nothing else to offer.

  • Although it has lead to every website have that 2/3/4 column look for about 10 years at least. Widescreen monitors have 50% of the space wasted,

I think it was Grid that started it, had 12 columns you could divvy up with a load of weird classes, and then a version of grid got added to the CSS standard instead so now it's just there.

You can still make CSS from scratch, but I can see why a beginner would go with Bootstrap or whatever.

  • I don't know who Kevin is, so I looked at his Wikipedia page and I'm still none the wiser what he's actually done to "earn" all that money. Looks like a serial grifter.

  • Why would Obama do this? 😭

  • The US system is similar to the UK as far as I can tell, and our two party system is starting to collapse.

The third party in question is actually even fucking worse, but at least it's no longer a two horse race.

I think any system of government where one party can end up with an overall majority over everything is fundamentally flawed. Policy needs discussion and compromise, not just shoving through because "we won you lost get over it"

  • Sadly, I fear the Dems keep her around for the same reason they keep Bernie.

To keep them reigned in so they don't become a threat to the old money powers. The last thing the Dems want is for them to splinter off into a viable third party, gain traction and actually make life better for the poor.

Keep your friends close and all that...

  • There are a third of Americans that didn't bother voting last time.

They should try appealing to them.

  • They're not public services. They're hostile psy-ops around the world, helping destabilise other governments.

It's high time other countries just outright blocked that cesspool, and Twitter while they're at it.

  • "Call it what you like, you're still going to need us" Code.

It's just really high level BASIC with much looser syntax. It doesn't mean my boss could use it, any more than they could use the "no code" rubbish, BASIC, C, Fortran or Assembly that came before it.

If your job was taking really detailed technical specifications and turning it into something a computer can read, then you might be in trouble. But my job was always deciphering the nonsense amalgamations of customers, sales people, and managers, figuring out what the actual requirement is, determine the simplest thing that could handle that, and write it in such a way that the inevitable changes that they request won't be too painful to add.

  • Well at least she died free of worms.

  • I wish I loved something as much as conservatives love Ivermectin.
