  • For a press release bragging about a new advancement especially for a product that doesn't even exist yet, I would guarantee they're using the 'easier' test.

  • Yeah the last episode came out in November '23

  • Watches are good for reading notifications and smart lights are great for home automation. I have Home Assistant setup and have most lights on an automatic timer that follows the sun throughout the year along with also controlling them via proximity sensors so they turn on and off when entering or leaving a room.

  • Plus, since consoles age must faster than humans, we have to convert time into "console years" which passes at a rate of 7 console years for every 1 human year. Therefore the "months of development" is accurate.

  • I have a brand new dishwasher that can still leave residue or food stuck on dishes or silverware if they sit long enough to dry out. Just because Technology Connections said something in a YouTube video doesn't mean it's a universal truth.

  • Try working in a grocery meat department. Having to clean under the racks where the chicken sat still scars me to this day. Imagine pumping a drunk, morbidly obese man full of farts which he then vomits back up and you'll have a good idea of what that smelled like.

  • I gave the phone away after doing it so I can't report back on that, but way back when I had my Note 4 and LG V20, it did seem like the third party batteries I used would wear out quickly. On the other hand, I think modern phones are far easier on their batteries.

If the installed battery is failing or close to failing, you're either going to install 3rd party or toss the phone in the trash so I think its worth a shot. IIRC the actual replacement parts in the kit (separate from all the repair tools which you keep) were fairly inexpensive so it's not a big loss if it doesnt last, especially if you think you might use the repair tools again in the future.

  • So weird to see US biker culture existing on the other side of the planet.

  • Jellyfin is a direct fork of Emby so I wouldn't even bother with it.

  • I havent done an iPhone but a Galaxy and bought the iFixIt kit for my phone (battery replacement) which came with everything and had detailed instructions along with it.

  • I won't be quite so harsh toward someone who now has the power to ban me, but I will agree that it seriously calls their judgement into question and they remind me a lot of FlyingSquid who also regularly made seriously questionable claims and was eventually demodded.

  • Right I won't deny the branded batteries are overpriced but that has nothing to do with the cordless power tools themselves, and with regard to Germany, I'm not sure what there really is to "work on" considering every pack is already the same 20V pack of 18650s with a few wires, a universal battery management system, and copper electrical contacts. "We're working on it" is just an excuse to continue this practice while pretending like "we hear your concerns."

  • Wait, givesomefucks got promoted to mod? I haven't specifically seen pro-Zionist comments from them, but this is the user that regularly comments trying to convince everyone how the Democratic party has seen 'major reforms' by electing a new leader months ago despite us continuing to see them capitulate to Republicans at nearly every turn.

Maybe the account is run by Chuck Schumer and OP here is completely correct.

  • Since when is a topless girl holding two dildos material that isn't safe for work?!

  • I wouldn't call that a scam. (Modern) Cordless power tools are fucking incredible despite the branded batteries being a rip-off. I literally have corded tools that I don't even use because extension cords are a real pain in the ass some times.

  • Comment is deleted, but I'd bet it was something along the lines of "why don't you google it, moron?!" which I always find funny on a text-based social media platform. The whole fucking point of this place is to discuss things.

  • I think its less about being white and more about not looking homeless at least where I'm from.

  • Depends on how close to the playground you are.

  • Agreed. An engineer who can afford to fly to China to hand pick fixtures straight from the factory is whining about home affordability and proposing this as some obtainable solution for literally anyone else.
