Nowadays my main account, but other @Deebsters are available.

  • I have a love-hate relationship with Logseq. I fantasise about rewriting it to better suit my needs, but it's definitely a lot of work to do this for both desktop and Android.

  • As a kid in the 90s, I was instructed not to tell everyone that my house had two screens, two Playstations, two copies of Wipeout and a link cable. It's kinda bizarre how we never actually got that good at it, although the fact that killing each other was more fun than racing probably had a lot to do with it.

  • Is this the first time an audience member has titled an episode?

Really happy to see Armando win, although Joel wins for the best quips.

  • I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, I don't personally consider Bluesky to be part of the Fediverse and I wouldn't want to be swamped by their superior numbers.

On the other hand, the more the merrier and it probably wouldn't lead to many more players anyway, judging by the handful of non Lemmy/Piefed servers that currently participate. It might also be a gateway experience into the real, non-corporate Fediverse for some Bluesky users.

  • I wonder if you could write a valid program in two different languages using this technique.

  • A curse on mobile editing!

  • According to this article, good dietary sources of L-arginine are:

    • Turkey
    • Pork loin
    • Chicken
    • Pumpkin seeds
    • Soybeans
    • Peanuts
    • Spirulina
    • Diary Dairy
    • Chickpeas
    • Lentils

This other list is similar but has 30 items and adds plenty of seafood.

  • Wow, some people got loads! Is that because they were online a lot, or did some of the rewards give back all used presses (not just +1)?

  • I guess since there's the overall total then each user's count must be there. I was suggesting adding a player's unused to their stats per season (plus their total summary).

  • Oh, you're kidding! I definitely thought it was another clue, but I suppose I should have realised that for many, recognising and decoding the morse was puzzle enough. I loaded the sound file into audacity so I could just read the dots and dashes.

  • Do you have the number of presses remaining after the clock hit zero? I think that would be of interest to people!

  • Those are running:

    • lemmy: 20
    • mastodon: 6
    • piefed: 6
    • mbin: 2
    • stegodon: 1
    • sharkey: 1
  • Odd that piefed.social gets counted as a "Mastodon-ish" server instead of being counted with the Lemmy stats.

  • I think we couldn't even decide which the first one was, which caused some confusion. Was the morse code button there the whole time?

  • Great fun again, thanks for much for running these. I joined the ever-underperforming red team this time, but the event ended before I woke up and launched my plan of using my stash of presses to swing the result.

I opened the frequency channel, but couldn't figure out what was needed for the "Seven forms. Seven stars. One who fell beneath them remembers" + "Seven stars burning" clues. Seven forms is a reference to lightsabre fighting styles, I assume, but I didn't get much further. Seven stars = a group of seven? The seven dark Jedi?

I'd be interested to see the stats on which platforms joined in... I noticed a few mastodon instances while playing but the ones in your post are all Lemmy/PieFed.

  • It'll be interesting to see if the teams change this time given that the colour is no longer the salient distinction.

  • I'm sure it occured to Kumail that if he'd won the three-task task then he'd have drawn the episode, or just won if Joel had been penalised.

  • It's Euler's picture on Wikipedia, by Jakob Emanuel Handmann in 1753.
