  • Grundsätzlich müsste man Hersteller auch wegen Umweltverschmutzung anklagen können, wenn sie aus nicht zwingenden Gründen Geräte unbrauchbar machen. So wie auch Microsoft mit der künstlichen Verhinderung von Windows 11 auf älteren PCs.

  • Thats exactly what dark paterns are: asking „do you want to backup your files?“, instead of transparently asking if you want to „MOVE your files to OneDrive“. Then not providing clear „Yes“ and „No“ buttons. But showing a convenient „Continue“ (or similar) and a scary worded „dont backup“ (or similar). And there are so many times where I deliberately uninstalled Onedrive, Outlook(new) and others, only to find them back in the menu an hour later. Also hate these f**ing questions, where you have the big blue „Yes“ button and only a „ask me later“ to deny. Or you have to find some blue words in the explaining text to click on, like when starting MS-Office on a local account the first time: Big „Login everywhere with MS-Account“ button, and „only MS-Apps“ just in the fine print (not even a way to say „only use MS-Account in Office“)

  • Die Rechnung hinkt meiner Meinung nach. Man muss auch mitberüksichtigen

    • dass der Anteil an Eigenkapital beim Käufer gebunden ist, der Mieter kann das auch investieren
    • dass beim Käufer auch ein Teil Amortisation ist. Der monatliche Betrag sinkt also mit den Jahren, im Idealfall gegen null (ohne Unterhalt)
    • Unterhalt fällt in den ersten 20 Jahr erst mal kaum an, das heisst diese Geld steht auch erst mal zum Investieren zur Verfügung
    • die Hypotekarzinsen können sich auch über die Zeit ändern

    Ich glaube eher, solche Beispielrechnungen sind als Argumente getunt, die Kunden zu einer für die Bank virteilhaften Entscheidung zu bewegen.

Redefreiheit zur Zeit eine Rolle spielt, denn selbst wenn ein Zivilist im Recht ist, kann er es mit dem von Trump untergrabenen Rechssystem derzeit nicht durchsetzen, wird verhaftet/deportiert und hat erst mal den Schaden. Wenn nach Trump das Rechtssystem irgendwann wieder „repariert“ und „entkorrumpiert“ ist, dann kann er sein Recht erst durchsetzen.

    Ich fürchte, dass auch in unserem System während einer zusammengebrochenen Gewaltentrennung die Frage „Recht“ zu haben irrelevant ist.

  • Also they already start shortening the live cycle of the non subscription office licenses, calling it „Modern-Lifecycle-Policy“. Up to now you hat 7-10 years of update support.   • I‘m using an ssh tunnel for that pupose. So if I can ssh into a remote synology, I can also create an ssh tunnel to any of the IPs of the remote network. Then I just open my regular local browser with an address https://localhost/:
