Just seeing what this whole Fediverse thing is all about.

I'll just be posting about whatever random stuff interests me at the time.

  • @Quetzalcutlass Being able to sell and craft directly out of the stash combined with being able to add items to your stash from anywhere using the bonfire was huge. It simplified things so much. I just wish I could also submit quest items using the stash as well.

  • @Arkhive I really got into the game after I got a Steam Deck. It's an easy game to pick up and put down allowing me to easily fill small periods of free time without requiring muscle memory or in depth game mechanics. Everything I need to know is explained on the cards itself and it's turn based so I can take my time.

  • @KnitWit Regent is hit or miss for me. I feel like he relies heavily on a few specific cards that are needed in order to really do well. I also have problems getting good block cards with him. I lose a lot with him but the few times I've gotten a good setup with him he felt really powerful. I've had the most success using star cards for block and some extra damage while buffing the sword up.

There's a power that makes the sword hit all enemies which really boosts him.

  • Games @sh.itjust.works

I've been playing Slay the Spire 2 and I've been really enjoying it.

  • Olympics @sh.itjust.works

I just watched the Ski Mountaineering and it's a really interesting winter sport. They definitely need to leave that as part of the Winter Olympics.

  • Games @lemmy.world

I recently finished playing The Outer Worlds 2 and it was pretty good. The big problem I have with both games is that the game mechanics feel a little shallow. Despite that I'm hoping there will be

  • Board Games @sopuli.xyz

I just played Azul for the first time and I really like it. The rules are straightforward and it's quick to setup and pack up. It reminds me a lot of Sagrada.

  • Games @lemmy.world

Slay the Spire is one of those games where the more I play it, the worse I do. I did better at this game when I didn't know what I was doing then I do now after hundreds of hours in the game.

  • Games @lemmy.world

I just played the demo for Monsters Are Coming and it's a really fun game. It's a mix between tower defense and the Vampire Survivor style games.

  • Games @lemmy.world

Just started playing Graveyard Keeper and it's interesting but it seems really grindy. Hopefully it starts picking up a bit as I play. I'm also wondering if I should get any of the DLC now or wait a

  • Games @lemmy.world

I tried to mod Cyberpunk 2077 and it was not a smooth experience. I first tried using Vortex in Bottles but it wouldn't run. I then tried to use ProtonUp-QT but couldn't figure out exactly what to do.

  • @BotsRuinedEverything My opinion on games and mods is that the first playthrough should always be vanilla. This allows you to get a feel for what the game is actually like and allows you to provide an honest review for the game. It also lets you know what parts of the game need improvement so you know what mods to look for.

One thing I would suggest is to get the Phantom Liberty expansion. It fits really well with the rest of the game and adds a merchant to buy missed Iconic weapons.

  • @Cptn_Slow I've only immediately replayed two other games. Mass Effect and Dishonored.

  • Games @lemmy.world

I finished my first playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077. I absolutely love the setting for the game and hopefully they'll make a sequel. Cyberpunk is going to join the very small selection of games I

  • Games @lemmy.world

Just finished the Run This Town quest in Cyberpunk 2077 and the VAs for Aguilar nailed it. They both have that perfect mix of smooth and threatening. I'm sad that the character is only available for

  • Board Games @sopuli.xyz

I played Undergrove for the first time today and it was really fun. It's developed by the same person who designed Wingspan. I really like the natural world themes she uses in the games.

  • Board Games @sopuli.xyz

For the first time, I played an entire game of Wingspan and never took the lay eggs action. Pileated Woodpecker was the MVP of the game.

  • Tea @possumpat.io

I just tried a cold brew of Adagio's Masala Chai iced tea. The clove is a bit stronger than I would have liked but overall it's good.

  • Games @lemmy.world

I've started playing Above Snakes and I really like the mechanic where you build the world instead of just exploring what's already there.

  • Tea @possumpat.io

I just tried a honeybush tea with butterscotch and cloves. I've never had honeybush before but it was really good.

  • Tea @possumpat.io

My latest mystery box from Adagio came with iced tea packets for cold brewing tea. I didn't even know tea could be cold brewed so out of curiosity I decided to cold brew some of my lemon meringue

  • boardgames @feddit.de

I've finally played all the modules in Kittens + Beasts.

  • @YurkshireLad I hadn't noticed that. I just checked the other book bundles and didn't see any restrictions so I'm guessing it has something to do with this bundle coming through Kobo which would be odd since Kobo is a Canadian company.

  • @JakenVeina I looked at Microcenter but a lot of stuff seems to only be available in store and there isn't one close by. The closest one is 3 hours away. I'm also hesitant to buy computer parts from Amazon so Newegg seems to be the only good option. I'll probably also check B&H to see if they have everything.

  • @SpaceCadet I thought about that but I like the little window on the side. It makes it easier to see inside if I need to check on something. Just recently I needed to check and make sure nothing was using my bottom sata ports before ordering an m.2 SSD. With the side window, I could just take a peak inside without having to pull the panel off.

As some others have said, I'll likely hunt for non-RGB stuff or just set it up to turn them off.

  • @BumpingFuglies You don't have any problems when using it docked? I had read a few posts claiming that running it docked caused it to struggle.

  • @Spat_U_Later the simple game mechanic makes it really easy to explain to new players. It's the only game the kids were able to easily pick up with a single explanation of the rules.

  • @dpunked The kids were 10-13. The game mechanics are really simple to learn too. The box says 8+ and that's probably accurate.

  • @fidodo I never actually thought about going to a local shop to get a custom build. I might have to look into that.

  • @lemmy_party The problem is less building the PC and more to do with picking the parts. My first gaming computer as one that I picked the parts out for and someone else put together and it was the worst computer I'd ever owned. Despite PC Part Picker assuring me that the parts were compatible, they apparently weren't because it was an unstable mess. My current PC was built by someone who knew what they were doing and it's the best PC I've ever had.

  • Something I've noticed while playing #totk is that the further I progress, the less I want to fight enemies. It's no big deal killing everything I see when my weapo

  • @echo64 I think the system wouldn't be too bad if there was an easier way to get the base weapons. One of the things I really dislike is hunting for specific weapons. I've only found one of those deku spears in my entire playthrough. Also, having to break my weapons killing enemies so I can get their weapons seems counter productive.
