  • Ahko's dad reminds me of this Simpsons meme, and that is so sweet:

  • I assumed it's just a new rental deck.

Pokémon TCG Pocket: Pulsing Aura 👊

  • What's with romcom protags and sudden deafness syndrome?!

  • Can this still be considered anime? This feels more like a show that happens to heavily feature Japanese cartoon.

  • That's it?! Any sequel announcement?

  • I bet the most cliche thing would happen: Coco and Agott would make up and become best friends

  • I can see why people loved this season!

  • Past Seasons

I have just picked up and watched the first four episodes of Made in Abyss. Nothing is really happening, but I can see that it is building up to a big reveal. I'd love to take a stab at guessing the twist, but are just too little clues this early on.

    This Season

I dropped Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk after the first episode. Just to clarify, I don't think it's a bad anime by any means. However, I am still not in the mood for CGDCT slice-of-life, and got bored of it quickly.

Continuing the topic of drops, I nearly dropped Witch Hat Atelier. The hook just isn't strong enough. Thankfully the latest episode was pretty hype; hopefully it would continue to deliver in this aspect.

The last of my original watchlist is My Ribdiculous Reincarnation, which I found entertaining enough so far. I hope its comedy won't become repetitive / stale. Otherwise, it has to develop more of a story.

With so few anime on my watchlist, I ended up picking up Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!? and The Classroom of the Black Cat and a Witch. I am already familiar with their stories, having read the source materials / manga adaptations, but they still made for comfort watches.

I'll be scanning these threads for more anime to pick up.

  • Cool read but I don't see the link to technology.

  • Downvote me if you want, but some of their points actually made sense to me. For example:

    1. Our society has grown too eager to hasten, and is often gleeful at, the demise of its enemies. The vanquishing of an opponent is a moment to pause, not rejoice.

In a vacuum / without any additional context, they are right. Society - in general - has grown rather polarised IMO.

  • Good catch; looks like those would remain 😅

    Good luck with your hunt

  • If it's any consolation, it looks like the Shiny Gyarados mission is going to be discontinued.

  • The page can’t be found.

It looks like nothing was found at this location.

  • The Photon web client treats words in square brackets (e.g. [Tag]) in post titles as tags, so you can click on them to filter the posts by their tags.

For episode discussions, use the [Episode] tag (or [Discussion] for older threads).

Behind the scenes, all it does is do a text search using "[Episode]". So you can also simply search / filter the relevant posts this way.

  • I thought it's going to end for good given that they are approaching the final battle. This visual seems to indicate otherwise!

Horizons has been entertaining, so more of it is always welcomed news.

The extension makes sense tbh - Liko and Dot still haven't get pokemons with mega evolution!

I'm guessing the Mega Falinks in the poster would join one of their teams. Perhap Dot's? Liko already has Armarouge, who is somewhat thematically similar to Falinks.

I haven't played Scarlet / Violet (and pretty much all the new gen games), but I've heard that Ogerpon is a fan favourite. I'm so looking forward to seeing her animated. She'll be so cute!

Lastly: a new human character! I hope she won't be a brat like Ult. I can't stand bratty kids. They are too annoying.

  • What's with the tags on pixiv 😭

  • Going with the assumption that mystery (whodunnit) ≠ suspense, and judging them solely by the mystery element: Hyouka for me. It's a grounded anime with nothing crazy going on, so the focus is purely on the mysteries. (There are the usual slice-of-life, school-life stuff, but those are secondary / don't distract from the mysteries.)

    Some runner-ups:

    • Oddtaxi - It has one of the strongest twist I have seen in anime.
    • The Apothecary Diaries - I enjoyed the political elements in addition to the mysteries.
    • Gnosia - I enjoyed playing along as though I am one of the participants.
