  • LPT: Super glue a BB pellet into the plastic air stem cap. Results in a slow leak over time, and it may take the owner a couple of times filling up the tire to realize what the problem is.

  • Yes, our main floor living room doesn't have a TV. Instead we have a piano, guitar, and high end speakers hooked up to a vinyl player with a collection that I'm constantly growing (probably to my wife's chagrin). It's my way of putting my phone out of reach and disconnecting for a minute while The Armed yells at me.

  • I mean...flappy meats...

  • Queue up a large donation to the White House Ballroom.

  • I was part of this recall, bought the 552 back during the pandemic. So I only qualified for a $50 voucher towards a new model, which happened to release at the same time of this recall announcement. Looking further into the recall details, the total unita of this affected model sold were 3,844,200. Of that 3+ million units, there were 350 reported incidents, 111 of which resulted in an injury.

I'll take my chances with these dumbbells I've been using for the past 5 years rather than them trying to upsell me on the new model.

  • Yeah but then that would require you to put the reusable bag back into your car after you unpacked your groceries.

  • I think the one who took the picture was using a telephoto lens. His thought process was probably along the lines of "I have a good 30 second head start on these guys, and the first one to go is probably the guy tripping over himself in the back closest to the bear."

  • Lightroom Classic. I know, I know; Adobe evil.

I tried learning DarkTable, but with a demanding 3 year old and other life things going on, I just don't have it in me to learn a new workflow and I want to keep up with one of the few hobbies I have left.

  • Baldurs Gate 3.

I've tried starting it up like 3 or 4 times but I just find the combat to be too slow and difficult. I constantly get my ass handed to me and I just wasn't enjoying the progression. The most recent time I was save scumming but even that wasn't helping me progress quickly enough Tried bumping it down to easy but even that didn't help. In general I just didn't have the patience for it.

I liked the story and the visuals. It's just the combat mechanics were what turned me off.

  • Shouldn't the bottom half be switched for who's on Rick and Morty?

  • Have you checked if your local area is on another channel besides the default LongFast?

    https://meshtastic.org/docs/community/local-groups/

For my area, most of Northern Georgia/Atlanta is on MediumFast and there's a good bit of nodes and participation on that.

  • We had a town hall at my company today and they demo'd their new AI product. It looked and sounded impressive, until you realized it wasn't the actual product but a Figma demo. If this thing ever sees the light of day, and it actually works without hallucinating bullshit data points, I'll eat my socks.

  • Ultimately got NonSteamLaunchers via Decky working. Lutris was still giving me problems this most recent run.

And now I'm able to waste away time in D2R!

  • I hear ya, I was hoping to avoid double dipping...

  • Steam Hardware @sopuli.xyz

  • I remember my friend bringing over his Xbox and playing Halo for the first time. I was constantly looking down at the ground while he was pistol sniping me across the map. Figured it out eventually.

  • Heh yeah I went down the rabbit hole last night and stumbled upon his video. Always liked his content, his recent videos as well as his music back in the 2010s.

  • For us if was usually held during the last week of elementary school before summer break. It was a nice way to close out the year by doing this outside.

  • Yeah that's kind of what I was getting at. The amount of energy required would be too large and impracticable/impossible to be leveraged in a portable form factor for use in the field, such as the video example.
