That one Israeli on the Threadiverse. No, sending me death threats won't change my mind, try arguments instead

Hello! That's my main mbin account, my alt is @Fitik, I also have a furry/personal account at @fitik

I'm just a regular person from Israel🇮🇱, a queer, and a #Fediverse enthusiast! I'm a liberal

I don't post much stuff, but when I do I usually post about #tech because I've mostly given up on trying to argue politics on there

  • Good riddance on ai, even if people there dislike it, ai-assisted code is already a norm in a lot of places. However, the decision seems confusing to me, there's already a Rust based web engine (Servo), I'm confused about what's the distinction between them now?

  • Seconding, also prefer FluffyChat, I just don't really like discord UI, but it's always good to have more options

  • Good riddance, long overdue

    Watchdog

If anyone here seen this account, and I unfortunately have, they know it's just a harassment account. MEMO has open anti-Israel bias, so no wonder they oppose this ban

  • GNOME has a built in OneDrive integration, and it works well from my experience, one of the reasons I decided to stay on this DE

It acts a an additional directory tho, I'm unsure about your use-case

  • Honestly I would, but I am an Mbin user, not Lemmy and it doesn't support remote moderation :/ Thank you for removing it tho!

  • I deleted first one I posted because of the title, strange, I guess the deletion haven't federated correctly? it's gone on my instance

  • I'm a fedora user, so I would recommend Bazzite/Nobara, but all of these are good (Except Windows 7, it's not officially supported anymore and I'm pretty sure it doesn't even get security updates). I think you can try them before installing thanks to live USB, so you can just see which one you like more.

  • My guess is that because hardware support, you can install PC Linux on pretty much any system, but I am unaware of mobile Linux os that officially supports my phone.

  • Yep, I mainly use GLM-4.6 now and it's actually pretty good, I use it through API, not locally tho

  • You can follow them from MBin, at it supports following users. I am pretty sure you can't from the other two, as they only support groups

  • I agree, I use it too, but I believe it's android-only, and the OP is searching for a cross-platform one

  • If you're the post author you can mention the community in the post, and it'll crosspost it to it (Like with a.gup.pe when it existed)

    I don't think there's a better way if you're not the author

  • Have you reached out to any of the community members, community moderators, or if inactive, instance admins?

No, I haven't, but you're open to do so if you have the motivation. I already organized consolidation, so I'm aware of how it works.

  • You can read about it on the FreeBSD website — https://freebsdfoundation.org/freebsd-project/what-is-freebsd/

Over Linux I assume? It has some unique stuff, like ZFC completely integrated. There's monolithic approach, Linux is just a kernel with a lot of distros, while with bsd kernel, userland and utilities are developed together. Some people say that is also more simple and logical than Linux. In my opinion both are good, it just depends on your use case.

Also most of ppl who use BSD use Linux too from my experience.

  • Yup, you're correct, makes me wonder if any of them would be open for consolation. I tried to request one on my instance, as it's been dead for the last 2 years.
