Oh hi there person who I've upset by expressing my opinion who is now wanting to go back through my post history to find something to use against me! If you're reading this, it's because you've already lost the argument :)

  • He went back to China voluntarily, there’s literally nothing the university or government can do to stop things like this, especially at the risk of upsetting our owners, the Chinese.

  • The existence of billionaires is not a problem.

I agree with you about subsidies and public ownership. Coal etc shouldn’t get subsidies without public ownership. That’s not the discussion being had though, which is the futileness of Australia going “net zero” and how all it’s going to do is bankrupt us, line Chinas pockets, and make us their bitch.

  • The path we’re on will do nothing other than bankrupt the country. Net zero for Australia means nothing to the global climate. Literally nothing.

Actually I take that back - us getting to net zero increases Chinas emissions for eternity, likely outdoing any environmental good us getting to net zero would do.

Also I see you didn’t include any quotes by climate activists about the polar ice caps being completely melted by now, and all the other climate horrors that were supposed to have happened by now 🤣

  • We have basically none. Can’t buy Australian when the product you want isn’t made in Australia.

  • Did you miss the interest rate rise due to inflation before the war?

  • Explain the out of control inflation before the war then……

We are pretty much the only western country in the world who RAISED interest rates before the war. Every economist has been saying for months and months that the inflation is mostly caused by the out of control government spending.

  • Convert from FLAC to mp3, and get a docker image of a torrent service with built in vpn support.

  • Inflation isn’t being driven by international events, it’s being driven by government spending.

  • We really don’t need to get rid of coal and gas as quickly as possible though. Australia’s emission footprint is irrelevant to the world. A fart in the wind. Even if we got to net zero it would change nothing.

  • And my point is that we should start making all absolutely essential things here, especially for probably the single most important thing to our country.

Being reliant on China for the thing that powers our entire country is not a good thing. Did you miss what happened during 2020/2021?

  • Agreed.

  • I’ve never seen a 10% card surcharge?

  • Make manufacturing locally possible again.

And yes, nuclear should be part of our energy future. The best time to start was decades ago. The next best time is now.

We need to start making solar panels and batteries here as a start.

  • And when you need to replace it? Or buy more?

  • How can the Australian government stop China from enforcing their laws? Lol

Just remember - we’re putting our entire countries future in Chinas hands with our “net zero” policy. The last thing our government will do is anything that could upset our owners.

  • The government will just import more tenant, and increase handouts.

  • You’d hope so, because they’re bullshit.

  • And still far less than guidelines say we should have, and far less than every other developed country.

The government don’t get congratulated for only cutting off 8 fingers instead of all 10.

  • Yeh I’m sure people would prefer not being able to afford a home than to have to settle for owning an affordable small and simple home…….

    🤔
