  • I hope more people start to see what’s happening.

Please remind people you know about all of the shady and corrupt and weird stuff the UCP is doing. I meet a lot of people who just aren’t aware about what’s going on in politics.

  • Are you a journalist?

  • Fox News does this

  • Does anyone have this list publicly available?

  • christianity @hexbear.net

What are the odds that Jesus was gay and his disciples were his polygamous partners?

  • If you live in Alberta, you should contact your local UCP official.

I would be surprised if you hear back. This appears to be a particularly important issue for their base.

  • creepy bro

    Alberta be like…

    • Tariffs create skyrocketing prices and reduced global competition because everyone else can trade with each other cheaper, destroy trade, empty shelves, etc.

    • Cutting government (musk) creates many unemployed

    • Removing illegal immigrants creates desperate need for low wage labor

    • Forced “rehabilitation” of addicts (or criminals, gays, immigrants, non-Christians, etc…) are used for free labor, return to slavery.

    • Christian biblical law is introduced.

    • Forcing women to bare children becomes handmaids tale style rape.

    • Project 2025 is complete.

    America is now “great again”

Mass suffering, social chaos, the decline of the western civilization.

  • Thanks. I saw it yesterday and thought it had a lot more upvotes… never mind :)

  • If it’s trolling, they still are right about the legislation though.

The zero benefit vs shocking harm.

  • Did this post get massively downvoted?

  • And to currently live in Alberta and know that Albertans voted for this… chose this…

Child abuse Facebook group posting about Alberta’s new legislation (screenshots in post)

  • I think it’s that if a kid tells their teacher they’re gay or trans, the teacher has to tell their parents.

If a kid has parents that will mistreat them for being gay, they will now be afraid to tell the teacher because they know it won’t be confidential.

It’s about limiting the number of adults a kid feels they can trust.

I believe, statistically, it makes kids less likely to report abuse

  • This sounds like something that doesn’t happen. What would be the purpose of that? Do you have any more information?

  • Do you know what happens to victims of these? I’m really interested in the assault and trauma in the church.

I’m looking for some good reading on it.

  • Alberta @lemmy.ca

Why does the UCP want opt-in sex education?
