  • I hear ya, especially on #3.

  • "I skipped the paywall by opening the page in my browser's article mode. Strips out most CSS and JS popups."

Thank you, I guess I shouldn't assume people have their web browsers configured to get past that. :/

  • Or I am someone who lost his enlisted best friend to the Iraq war.

But yeah, you totally know me and my motivations.

    You worthless fucktard.

  • Thank you for pointing this out!

    Also, ugh...

  • Thank you for saying that.

Ugh, "I didn't join the revolution to read" is such a dumb statement.

  • Ah, 2026.

I do not really want to pay attention to the news, given there is little i can do to change things, but everything keeps getting more expensive (Ex: gas, food).

So, you look up why, go down a rabbit hole of news and feel somewhere between exhausted and helpless.

One of my closest friends died during the Iraq War, I was much younger then, 17+ years ago now. It hurts though, an it hurts knowing other people are going to have to carry that weight as well, for those needlessly slaughtered, sacrificed, globally.

There are no survivor benefits and free counseling for friends.

  • FARC and ELN elements could view him as some sort of leverage against the USA somehow as well. There's a lot of reasons President Pedophile was worried about putting soldiers on the ground.

  • My parents, unfortunately.

  • Since at least 1970, every decade there seems to be a, "The VR take over is here!" fad and it falls flat every time.

Those VR rollercoaster shuttle rides in malls during the 1980s and early 1990s, thinking that is the future, oh boy, we were all so silly.

  • Thanks Eeyore.

  • Oh man, what a great helpful comment! I'm sure your days are as pleasant to experience first hand as your comments are to read.

  • That was a nice interview. The game saved my sanity during the pandemic.

  • A bunch of drunk, high people....and ICE being present, I cannot imagine what could go wrong there, lol.

  • It's weird to me how everyone basically assumes the Epstein files are not getting released because Donald Diddler and friends do not want to be outed as pedophiles, when additionally Epstein managed investment accounts for the private globally wealthy and world leaders...so there are like hordes of financial crimes being covered up as well.

  • That Turning Point USA halftime show is going be be hilarious.

I'm just picturing random big name country star, a drunk Billy Ray Cyrus, a light up christian cross, with sparkler fireworks coming off it, being lowered down from the ceiling as the lights dim, then out walks Kid Rock and Vanilla Ice to do a country rap rendition of the TMNT - Ninja Rap proving once and for all we are in hell.

  • Your friend is mentally ill or an idiot, likely both.

  • Yeah, Lemmy is fine and all, I enjoy being here, but this debate exists like, here and here alone, lol.

I work at a healthcare facility with 1000+ employees, overwhelming majority college educated, no one knows what, "tankie" means.

Most people don't know who the hell Edward Abbey is, let alone 1800s era people like Bakunin or Proudhon.
