  • We've had the opposite of populism for a very long time. It's time to start balancing it out and fighting back against the ultra wealthy and corps that own our country through lobbying and cronyism.

  • Have you watched any of his campaign events? He talks about making change not about being anti Trump or establishment. The does talk about his stances and what he wants to fight for. Beating Collins is obviously a huge part of his campaign because he's got to beat her but he's definitely "for something".

It's easy to fall into reporting that paints certain candidates a certain way, it's worth going out to a campaign event (if you're local) or watching one to form your own opinion. The Internet is a biased place, some places aren't outright smearing him but they try to discredit him by saying repeating stuff like you are. Everything I've seen and heard from him is that he is more than just an "anti establishment" guy and wants to build a progressive populist movement for the people.

  • Bad reasons, he's addressed all of his controversies and the vast majority of Maine Dems accept him. Same reason they refuse to back most progressives, they exist to maintain (or return us to) the status quo. Progressives want to change and as long as establishment Dems hold a majority in the party nothing will change

  • Does something special happen if we impeach him a third time?

  • Legacy car makers have become complacent. They wouldn't survive doing the same thing they have been doing. They will adapt or die, competition is good.

  • This is the hill they die on? This is the issue they threaten to revolt for? Not properly funding the NHS or something else that benefits people?

  • and the institute that did the polling was founded and funded by a Trump mega donor.

"Trump Institute Finds Broad Support For Trump's War Exactly Where They Left It" fixed the headline.

  • Founded and funded by people and orgs that have a vested interest in this conflict. Like the heritage foundation polling for gay marriage.

  • As soon as he kicks the bucket there will be a massive power vacuum and everyone will change their policies to align with Vance. Nightmare scenario tbh, I hope he lives til the day he goes lame duck.

  • *reflects the voting public

Just calling it evil is a cop out. It's religious colonial nationalism fueled by propaganda and racism that is fed to them as soon as they leave the womb. There is a very intentional wall that keeps the settlers and Israelis from seeing what is happening to Palestinians. When that wall cracks some people switch sides. These absolutists "they're all evil" end up contributing to the problem by drawing that line. Instead we should be amplifying the voices and orgs in Israel and Palestine that aren't giving up on the propagandized. It is an uphill battle and you're helping the other side more than anything else.

  • Please check your sources.

The 93% poll was conducted on 500 people.

The "democracy" institute that conducted the poll was founded by a Trump Republican mega donor.

This poll is the same as Donald Trump thinking his approval rating is at 99% in recent polls, polls of who???

  • The poll they cite only polled 500 people and the "Israel Democracy Institute" who conducted the poll was founded by a Trump mega donor.

Mondoweiss loses credibility by releasing this article without pointing out the obvious polling issue.

They also failed to shout out the organizations that have been protesting daily against the war! Standing Together עומדים ביחד has been organizing protests since day one of the operation.

Mondoweiss is showing itself as an unfair propagandist publication who is more interested in clicks and spicy headlines than actually giving a real picture.

  • He could do something really funny and have a heart attack before pardoning anyone.

  • TLDR: Farmer who talks about all this: https://youtube.com/@farmtotaber

There's lots of actual farmers who talk about the fertilizer situation. Since the start of agricultural subsidies we have pigeonholed our farmers into growing cash crops. Chemical companies clocked in and invested genetically modified strains of said cash crops that are resistant to their pesticides. All the while the US gov is pumping cash into the farm sector to overproduce crops for export. Farmers forgot how to farm without pesticides because there is too much tax payer money being funneled to grow the same cash crops year over year.

These new crops make it very easy to grow the most profitable crops but they require accompanying pesticides and fertilizers to be feasible.

We need to stop handing money to farmers and let them fail and open the playing field to new farms who can't compete with government subsidized multi billion dollar "family farms".

  • Fertilizer "crisis" is a man made problem.

  • You don't live in a state that blocks porn and it shows.

  • I think the synagogue attacks are likely genuine/not false flag. I expect the false flag to be a much bigger deal and be leveraged to declare a national state of emergency. These smaller attacks are a happy accident for this administration.

  • Since Trump first started consolidating executive power the only thing he's missing is a semi justified declaration of a national emergency. He tried it with immigration but it's not really catching on like he hoped. Now he's started a war with an asymmetrical foe with ties to terrorist orgs. I expect a series of attacks to be carried out on US soil, they'll need them in a few major cities for the largest effect and serious enough to involve emergency powers. My guess is we'll see something between now and midterms so that he can get DHS at the polls. We may even see an event at the polls that the admin will lean on to "cancel" the election and keep the results in limbo.

None of this would stand up to the courts for long but they would try to use DHS to control the opposition. They've been packing ICE with Nazis and Trump supporters for almost a year now. I hope I'm wrong but I'd be surprised if they don't try something.
