You realize there are many, many cases where an LLM just abysmally fails at basic math questions, right? The obvious ones that get news attention are corrected rather quickly, but there are plenty of times they just plainly fail at basic “math as word problem” situations.
If they can’t “understand” basic math reliably, why would they be able to “understand” complex concepts any more reliably?
The issue I have with this idea, is that the LLM doesn’t have an understanding of the algorithms, formulas, proofs or theorems. It “knows” they exist, but not what they actually mean. It’s like having a toddler pick out associations on a word board and hoping they happen to relate to each other.
Yes, there is more to an LLM, and I can’t really think of a good analogy. My point is that the associations being made aren’t based in mathematical knowledge, it’s based on “do these things relate to each other in my training data.”
LLMs specifically are incapable of “new thoughts.”
Assuming the answer given is indeed correct, it only suggests to me that someone previously solved it and the LLM was trained on it. LLMs can’t actually do math.
ETA: to clarify, if this was a model trained for mathematics instead of an LLM I wouldn’t have this opinion, but the article suggests it’s just an LLM.
Can you be well adjusted with only one or the other? Sure. But you’re going to have an easier time of things if you get proper interaction from both sexes as you grow up. It helps you know how to deal with them, makes you less nervous, and honestly there is just an inherent difference between how each acts.
Not enough words, gotta double that. Also wouldn’t hurt if it was an Isikai, somehow tied in game elements, had a harem of some sort but he was too oblivious to realize, and the fan service episode needs to be on a beach at the river.
In fairness, I’d be pretty miffed if I came along to support a cause or enjoy an event only to be told there was some fine print stating I wasn’t welcome and needed to leave.
I get kinda tired of “final season” seasons that are broken up into multiple season length cours. It goes from “oh man this is the last?” to “I was prepared for this to be over years ago” after a while.
Oh cool, yeah that’s the post where one of their admins said I was in the proverbial clear after I explained the situation, right before the mod that made that post decided they knew better than the instance admin and instance banned me.
Fun times, thanks for taking the time to search for it.
Maybe should have hashed that out before dumping millions into it…
