  • Technically all they have to do is anonymize you by disassociating your comments from your profile

  • This is a really good point. I originally supported it for those purposes. There really are few reasons for the average user to need to make such communities

  • I would not overly praise old reddit like this. I agree that people were more open minded and willing to engage in substantive discussions, but old reddit was also hosting the likes of /r/jailbait, /r/coontown, /r/n*ggers. There's good and bad aspects.
