Sup.

  • Nope. That was their stated policy if your account went stale.

  • I have strong opinions on the baconbits folks. I'm happy they're gone. "humiliate yourself so we unlock your account" get bent clowns.

  • 'the sacred texts'

  • +1 for Heimdall, but I don't think it does widgets. It's more like a Intranet homepage.

  • How it's this device for comics?

  • Thanks for the tips. I was trying to treat this more like an x4 colony sim than it is I think.

  • Difficulty spike. Like my drones aren't self sustaining well enough, and i don't know how to fix it.

  • I hit a wall with Rimworld. I've gotten into a slog where I'm doing the same thing every day and can't seem to progress any further. At a loss at what to do next.

  • I've blocked two users who spam pro-China propaganda non stop in that /c/. Ugh

  • There's a new version by Ice T. He just wants to play Xbox.

  • I played through stick of truth without freezes. Had no issues at all.

  • Not installed on Pixel 5a (with Facebook app) or 6a

  • Mini golf is great at facilitating a walk and talk vibe if someone needs to do something with their hands.

  • Ubi connect will not work offline, even if you login online once and then immediately take the deck into offline mode. Connect fails to launch the game.

Experienced this while traveling last weekend.

  • You can't stop a user from cross instance subscribing, so if a lemmy.ml user subscribes to ! Antisemitic@bob's-racist-emporium.lemmy.wtf before it's defederated, it should be immediately clear if posting across instances will have no effect to the posting user.

A real world for instance is that I have a subscribe pending to !steamdeck@soupli.xyz thst is either stuck or not being accepted. I've made posts before realizing that lemmy.ml is not federating with that instance and had no idea so I've been contributing to the ether.

  • This is a big roadblock for lemmy. There needs to be a clear indication that an instance is defederated from the community you're posting to and that doesn't currently exist.

A instance can make a decision thst it's users aren't aware of without some kind of marker.

  • This was created before the upvote display calculation change that makes reddit vote counts appear "more accurate to the real world numbers" or whatever they were saying at the time.

  • Nobody asked my opinion but my interpretation of how this whole fediverse "should" work is that while there can be empirical instances, federation shines with smaller, easy to manage instances thst connect to each other.

  • This is deceiving though. In The US tipping is literally everywhere now.

If you are waited on, I. E. Sat at a table or served at a bar, tipping is expected. If you go to a counter and place an order and someone hands you something while you're standing there, those workers aren't making 2.13/hr.
