    I vaguely remember a bunker full of cannibals in the Ural Mountains when playing Exodus that I mistakenly thought was what remained of the Russian Federation leadership structure.

    Entirely unrelated, but you seem knowledgeable, do you know where I could find English translations of other Metro Universe books? I have only read the "original" 3 featuring Artyom and Homer. I really really want to read the metro book about the annual stalker race around the ring stations but have never found an English translation.

  • After reading the books, all I want is an open world Metro rpg. Let me play as an unseen observer sent by University station to spy on the rest of the metro's factions. Let me bet on rat races at Paveletskaya. Let me play as a defender at Sevastopolskaya mowing down hordes of monstrosities. Let me be stalked by Great Worm Cultists near Park Pobedy. Let me compete in the annual stalker race around the ring stations. There are so many factions and independent stations that are never even mentioned in the games let alone visited. I feel like an open world game like that is the only way to do the books justice.

  • Sounds like I'm definitely due for a replay then! I went through as a milquetoast moralist the first time, and you seem very knowledgeable is there a different political spectrum you'd recommend for a next playthrough?

    I have only heard about Esoteric Ebb from one person, the same person I heard about Disco from actually, but it is good to hear a differing opinion. I will go into it with a more critical mindset now. Good talking to you homie!

  • Oh I see. I'm not sure I remember this side quest at all. Vaguely remember a dead guy either sitting on a bench in front of the haunted library or possibly at that abandoned market pier thing outside of the town proper. But I don't believe I ever made a death notification. I will have to go back and check things out, or watch a video lol because I was planning on checking out a new disco-like recommended to me called Esoteric Ebb after planescape torment.
