  • what’s the logic behind the reasoning of Jenner about the trans cause?

Rich celebrities think they're above people and won't be affect which to a certain extent, that's true. That being said, Caitlyn is a transwoman which especially with right now is the worst time to be kissing any transphobes ass. There's some trans people (not all of them) that thinks their the real trans people because they have transition, have meds etc which is just bunch of nonsense, real trans people are one that are trans.. that's it.

  • Defective by Design has an Article about getting DRM-Free eBooks which I recommend checking there.

Sometimes, Humble Bundle will have eBook bundles which couple I brought are DRM-Free. Just make sure you check the details of the bundles as not sure if every eBook bundles would be like that.

  • It sucks older Kindle model are ending it support has I have one of them. I don't use the email ePub to Kindle and instead used Calibre which I know there's a fork of it that doesn't have the vibe-coding but I forgot the name of it.

  • Depends on the scenario. Most often, I just mute the thread and try delete notification of that vary arguement because I know I am extremely reactive. If that person to me is really scummy, I tend to just blocked them and try move on the day. Life is too short to be hyperfocus on an arguement I doubt anybody would care in the long-term.

  • I feel very mixed about it. Good for people to try PeerTube and create videos but it's depending how much video channel there is, it's going to be a nightmare for moderation.

For example, other bigger Mastodon instances with open-registration despite some have good moderation team, it's much easier to have bad actors and you had to relie on people to report them. Compared to something that's closed, you have more control and better idea of if that account is going to be malicious. It's not 100% fool-proof but I find those instance with approve-registration tend to have less bad-actors compared to ones that widely open.

  • I was thinking "What username just stands out" which lead to me thinking about games I love which is SSX 3. If you did a certain combo, you did a Monster Trick.

  • Thank you. I have block tons of account before but I always feel little guilty at times for doing so but I do need that reminder.

  • Doesn't sound ableist at all. I know few Autistic which it bugs them when the grammar incorrect. Ironically, I'm at the other side where it doesn't bother me too much for as long as I can understand and read what someone is saying.

  • To be fair, I did took my time to manually check this time which I tend to forget to do but thank you!

  • Off My Chest @lemmy.world

I hate how pedantic people online will get all over that my grammar isn't great.

  • Most of them remained on Bluesky as to them, it's better than Twitter and Mastodon. Few of them I know have tried the Fediverse and didn't have a good experience of it. They didn't like the amount of Reply Guy as well as getting deny that racism on there exist.

It's a shame as I think the Fediverse is miles better than Bluesky.

  • Are Tidal and Quobuz really the only choice?

From what I heard from them, those two are a good alternative to Spotify and also have better audio quality if you're a audiophile and it matters to you. If I recall, other music streaming platform don't have the best discovery feature ever and also depending on which music genre you like, they may not have as many the music you would listen.

That being said, I suggest giving either one of them a try.

  • I say as someone that used to be on Stan Twitter, the Barbz wouldn't care about it. Anyone who have slight criticism to her will get dogpilled and even doxx. It feels like a cult

  • At one of the CeX I go to, the WiFi is called something like "SafeCeX"

  • Nope as the internet for me is the escape from reality for me.

  • No..

  • Kinda but in general, I miss when a online community wasn't a walled garden and is open to everyone. I prefer the format of Reddit/Lemmy as I find some forum thread to be difficult to read as there's few different conversation going on.

One of the things I love about forum is that I know that it can be find via online search. Something nice about finding answers from a smaller-niche website that's away from places like Reddit.

  • It's really hard to answer it without having a example to go by. Can you give any please?

  • I had to use it in lockdown and I dislike using it on my phone. If I remember, it was clunky to use and also kick people out the video-call if reached around 30-60mins if they're on a Free-tier.

I hate Zoom with a firey passion and I'm glad you didn't had to witness it
