    You remind me of my Christian parents who redefined "religious" to mean "following the laws of the Bible", which they claim they don't because they follow Jesus instead, so my Christian parents now claim not to be religious, even though the common definition is "relating to or believing in a religion." - simple as that. It feels really silly to do that. Cult-ish, even.

  • The American ethnicity is pretty much the European ethnicities supplanted onto "American" grounds - Trying to integrate the Native American tribes into that ethnicity feels like tribe-erasure to me. They are separate ethnicities - heck, I'm not even sure if "the American ethnicity" is really a single ethnicity.

  • Thanks for the recommendation; I've opened the audiobook in my YT window, so I'll eventually give it a listen (~4-5 hours is quite a chunk of time, and I don't want to run it as background noise - give it an actually fair shake, you know).

  • TubularTittyFrog has said nothing crazy about women, for the last 3 months - I didn't check further. The worst I've found was that he had a few negative experiences with women (almost like women are human too - who knew!?).
