  • That's funny that you naturally came up with the same overall design. It makes sense though as making it horizontal would require forming material.

Edit: if you're also a wood worker you could make one look really fancy that way but man, that'd be a lot of work.

  • It'd be stupid for the companies themselves to sell less vehicles in a capitalist system.

  • Fuck you decartes! You get out of here! I ain't giving you no $3.50 you rene!

  • Holy fuck, do I even exist?!?

  • Oh I wasn't talking about fixing their subsidence. That's unfixable. I was talking about potential ways they could get drinking water without pumping more from under them, exacerbating the issue.

So they just have compounding issues. They're subsiding, making the amount of atmosphere above them thicker. Much like death valley, it gets extra hot because there's more blanketing atmosphere above them compared to higher attitudes. So for Mexico City to exist in the future, they need to stop pumping immediately. But that would either kill off millions or cause an exodus like the planet hasn't seen in millenia. That city is fucked. It would cost way more to bring in enough water to stop pumping, than it'd cost to move the city.

  • One is a clock with minimalist ideals and intelligent mechanical features to display the intended perception of function over form. Creepy, cool and mysterious. The other is a fever dream of a ketamine abuser with too much money and power, nothing more.

Edit: just realized you proved me wrong about brutalism in other forms of art. Touche.

  • Agreed. But art deco goes beyond architecture and was used in other forms. Art deco radios, cars etc. but brutalism doesn't have a form of beauty when done right. It's just not used in other forms. You only see it in architecture. You could argue that the function over form aesthetic of some cars are brutalist, but I'd disagree. Those cars are made out of a purpose of being cheap, which is kind of brutalist adjacent ideology, but not really true in form. No-nonsense isn't the same thing as spartan design due to limited funds/technology.

Tldr: Brutalism gets a bad rap.

  • I had a gf like this, caught me looking at the fappening pics. Said I was cheating... Bout 3 months later I found out she'd been taking dick from 2 different dudes for more than a year. People will do anything to feel superior to others.

  • Hey that looks great! It actually looks a lot like the case for my grandpa's binos that got handed down to me.

  • Brutalism gets a bad rap. If done by a talented architect, it can look really good. But too often the architect is just some Soviet guy doing a job.

  • Is art deco out of date? A few brutalist buildings in an area can look really cool.

  • Cars made in those plants aren't subject to tariffs. It'd be incredibly stupid to do that.

  • You can get 8 year auto loans now.

  • "cause Italian is almost as fancy as Texas Roadhouse! Hyuck hyuck"

  • "Sir, they're tunneling under the fence"

"Build a second fence 10 feet behind the first fence"

    "Brilliant sir"

  • What do you want to bet that to them, it didn't just pause the count, it restarted it?

  • Region is far too broad for it. They can narrow it down to districts within cities. Your sentiment is still valid, that there's a lot of people there so they can't target individuals, or even streets. But they can use that data for increasing police presence. Any data given to fascists is dangerous.

  • I mean you're right on both accounts, but it's their determination to continue using that piece of shit engine that makes their games suck, especially on launch. If they would just scrap it entirely and build a new one from scratch, they'd be miles ahead of trying to keep that old yugo on the road by duct taping newer parts on and giving it a fresh layer of paint every now and then. People just keep giving Bethesda the benefit of the doubt.

  • The engine is holding them back. How many people in Bethesda really know how that taped together engine really works? And they act like they're getting games out quickly?

Starfields facial movements still aren't as good as a 20 year old call of duty game. If they got rid of the Todd I would immediately be 25% more likely to buy their next game.
