  • How bad would west mainstream news freak the fuck out if this was proposed in China.

  • What's the evidence of the actual words spoken? I CLEARLY hear "I don't give a fuck about Gaza..." But not much more.

One randomly cited article has different words, but no evidence outside the video boy what she says, and I have ears so.....

All the other shitlibs online calling out "missinformation" as if the exact words some shitlib yelling at a toddler (about Gaza, since, you know, that's why the dad was there...) Changes anything. A distraction at best.

  • Yes, yes, yes Wikipedia is absolutely garbage and all that.

Laughing fucking my ass off???? Once I read that in my head, I just couldn't stop laughing at that.

  • Literally me haha

  • My own experience with local organizing in the Imperial Corps is similar but different in important ways.

The local communist group is trying to be active in impactful wats, especially around Palestine, which is awesome. At the end of the day, we work with a ton of people that are not communists, which is great! We're trying to bring people in, and after all, the group that we are directly participating in is a pro-Palestine group, not communist directly.

But many of the core members seem to have a lot more emphasis on building "us", instead of helping Palestine. And that has rubbed a bunch of people, including me, the wrong way. In fact, they aren't necessarily ultra-communists that are armchair theorists, but unfortunately they just aren't seemingly doing the work that the public actually wants.

To be fair, organizing around my area is really tough. There's a ton of anarchists who would rather just light fires and walk away than do what we would call principled work, communist or not.

Don't feel bad about not wanting to participate in the purists or the ones that maybe don't have their heart in the right place. It's totally fine, and it doesn't make you a liberal, and I don't think anybody on here is gonna think less of you for it.

  • I'm gonna keep in mind what you and others have said that this is nothing new and I don't have to panic. At least I know this wave will pass like every other.

It sucks though. I feel unironically red-pilled. Just a different perspective on things and it's weird.

I used to have such strong positive feelings for Democrats and such strong negative feelings for Republicans and I remember literally feeling back in the day that I could not imagine feeling any differently. Now I hate them both (for sifferent reasons) and that's just a weird feeling.

  • Oh boy, yeah, I was in high school around that time. Not super conscious about things, but man, I can imagine that the internet of the day was certainly on fire.

  • Yeah, the long story short about that is I have made some strides and joined FRSO and have talked to some people, and even was organizing until life caught up recently (medical, work). The group is very small, very limited where I am and I'm outside the city nowadays, so it's a lot harder for me to do in-person events.

Im planning getting re-involved, but that's gonna take awhile unfortunately.

  • Too real!

  • Sad, but at least I see it now :/

  • Jesus, if she said something like remotely pro-communist, then at least that would make sense to a propagandized population.. Literally, all she said was, I'm here... And picture of her having fun.

Americans are becoming so brainbroken that literally just mentioning China without automatically talking about how terrible and horrible and evil it is makes you a CCP shill.

On the other hand, it's getting easier and easier to prove to people how fucking stupid Usonians are. Instead of digging up some crazy mask-off quote by some nut job in Congress ( But I repeat myself...), you can basically just gesture broadly to Twitter... Err.. X.

  • If I put it in a graphic, it must be true. Graphics can't lie!

  • God damn libs really only have like 6 aRgUmEnTs don't they? It's beyond conspiracy theory now. It's straight up a flat earther mentality. They have their fingers in their ears yelling "TIENAMEN SQUARE TEINAMIN SQUARE I CANT HEAR YOU TIENAMEN SQUARE".

    How embarrassing.

  • No way. This can't be real. No one is dumb enough to think he invented electric cars.

I mean, people might be dumb enough to think his IQ is 175, and that he's a self taught neuroscientist, blah blah. Those things are really hard to "disprove" (even if they are harder to prove)... But not EVs. Like, what?

Please tell me people aren't that dumb. Oh god please tell me.. Oh no, I think it's real.

  • I don't know the area specifically, but in my experience near me, they're usually more expensive per square foot, but about the same price for a "home". However, if you're looking for a place to hold two kids, usually there isn't a lot of options, or they are really expensive.

  • I rode my bike to my urban campus for three years and then to a couple of jobs outside in the nearby area for two more. I miss those days so much.

Even though while I was there, I always felt like it was a pain in the butt and a compromise. I was kind of a sweaty guy, so it's much easier if I have a shower to go to in the building that I arrive in, but many buildings around me did, so that wasn't a problem. I've also learned some people just ride slower and don't need to shower haha.

The weather in my area can be cold but not super cold and very rarely snow. But I would always obsessively look at the weather and make sure that I was prepping properly.

When I finally moved away and got a better car and started driving more, I thought I was living more privileged. But for whatever reason I always missed biking and I didn't understand why.

Once I learned about the no car movement I realized that when biking in an urban environment, everything else about my life besides my commute was so much easier, and my commute was only a little bit harder than driving. There are ways I could have made it even easier so honestly that wasn't even that bad.

It's one of those things that you have to experience it to understand but once you do you realize that micro mobility is way more convenient for getting around. Then, without massive parking lots, massive 6 lane straods, massive department stores, massive front yards, things aren't too far away from each other.

With the exception of the front yards, all of those things just exist to facilitate the car. Like, without the car, you don't need those things, and then every other form of travel becomes easier. But with those things, only cars become viable. It's kind of crazy.

  • Yeah, I like driving when it's fun. Like by myself through the country roads when no one else is on the road haha.

Going down my local stroad just pisses me off haha. I'd sell my car and move to a city if I didn't have kids (I can deal with public transit but it's not good enough for kids in my area)

  • At this point in time I'm completely convinced that the Democrats in office love how bad the state of the country is because it means they get to push for teeny-tiny little baby steps to make it slightly less terrible whilehere, while everybody ignores the fact that genocide is happening under their watch, and World War 3 are around the corner.

It's the exact same tactic the Republicans did. Throw a bunch of crazy shit out there so the media focuses entirely on that, including cultural issues, while secretly pushing a whole bunch of legislation towards the right without argument.

Only when the Democrats are doing stuff behind the scenes, it's not pushing the country the left, It's still pushing the country to the right, just not quite as fast.

Clean up my piss Worker: ewww no C: I'll pay you a dollar W: no, I'm leaving C: points to guard at the door holding an AR you just gotta pay him and he'll let you leave W: how much? C: A dollar W: What else can I do?
