  • His vocal intonations sound similar to the Lockpicking Lawyer. Could this be him?

  • Amazing photo!

She doin her best to help. Nugget the towel press.

  • The T7 is great, I would full heartedly recommend it. But so is the KLR, they are just different tools. Generally I agree with the saying the best bike is the one you own. And this is coming from a guy who sold a perfect BMW R1200 GS for a 2022 T7, then sold that for a 2024 KTM 890 Rally, then sold that for a 2025 T7 again. I’ve ridden KLRs and they are amazing. Simple, reliable, and will go just about anywhere. But the added power and twin cylinder smoothness of the T7 is quite intoxicating. Not better just different.

Spring has sprung here. 70 degrees in the forest today

  • They have vents but they are not great over 90 degrees for long periods. I commuted in them year round (100 degrees here in July) but my commute was only 25 minutes.

  • Aerostich. New they are expensive but you can get them used on eBay. Two zips and the whole thing comes off to reveal your work clothes. It’s a 10 second change that keeps you safe with knee, hip, back, elbow, and shoulder pads. Did I mention water proof too? Hands down the best protection for commuting.

My boss used to laugh at me walking to my desk asking if I was going snowmobiling. But he got canned so who’s laughing now?

And denim pants evaporate in a slide.

  • Top three work PCs for my work are Dell, Lenovo, and HP. I didn’t even consider HP on the last purchase. Not that the others options are great but never HP.

  • It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything. - Tyler Durden

  • Brilliant video. Fortnine always makes great films. And I love a good kickstart.

  • Polished silver hides scratches. For that reason alone I’d take silver over black most times. Of course there are applications where black just looks great (carbon fiber). But rub marks on $300 cranks never look good.

  • In August 2021 I rode 800 miles in 14 hours home from Montana on a BMW 1200 GS with cruise control, heated grips, and great wind protection. I planned to do it in 2 days but I kept feeling good so I kept going. Huge mistake; the last 3 hours were miserable and probably dangerous. I regularly ride 12 hour days but not freeways. The monotony of freeway riding takes a toll. I’ll never do it again. I much prefer to take back roads or better yet dirt. Stop for the sights, explore, eat at small restaurants and meet people. Those are the things I enjoy about riding not covering as many miles as possible.

  • Beautiful setup. Those speakers look awesome. Perfect pic to cross post to c/catsonstereos.

  • photochromic Lenses have been around for decades. I use photochromic goggles every time I dirt bike, no batteries or solar panel.

For faster response on the street I use a shoei helmet with drop down tinted lenses inside. Just a flick of the finger slides them down over my eyes. Simple, cheap, effective. Pretty sure it’s SNELL approved.

I don’t want complicated and expensive. $460 buys a few tires.

  • “Following a comprehensive review, we determined the planned Flock Safety integration would require significantly more time and resources than anticipated,” Ring wrote in a blog post. “As a result, we have made the joint decision to cancel the planned integration.”

Not necessarily because of privacy concerns.

  • The tool I referenced is just an archive search engine. It searches for unblocked copies of the article. It’s not a mechanical “paywall remover” in the literal sense.

  • What’s a hard paywall? Again, it’s has never failed me. It works fine on OP’s article. Can you show me one it doesn’t work for?

  • Scam calls and texts always use call ID spoofing. Blocking them would be easy if they used their actual number.
