    I can download whatever I need in <5 minutes and that's totally sufficient for me.

    My 1Gbps would be around 50 in Denmark (if I didn't work for an isp lol)

  • Most hardware does 2.5Gbps out of the box these days.

    I've had 1Gbps for 13 years now (in Denmark) and can comfortably say: it's plenty

  • Yup, it is just half an hour before, very commonly used here. There's some other English language (Australian?) where it means the opposite - totally not confusing.

  • In Denmark it's always written in 24hr, but I'd say it's 50/50 whether we say 3 or 15 for 15:00.

    I guess saying 3 is more casual. But we never use "hundred". 15:30 would just be fifteen-thirty.

  • Yeah these games are definitely about the journey, not the destination. The journey is awesome, but I was also super underwhelmed by the endings.

    Instead of making a massive empty underworld in TotK, I wish they had focused on transforming the normal world after beating Gannon, for some extra content at the end.

  • I think the only reason to switch would be the optimizations, right? For new users, the installer is probably nice.

    You can get all the optimizations they made in Arch, too. It's very easy to get their custom kernel, just install linux-cachyos from AUR.

  • The tool gdu is very nice for finding space culprits.

    Never used Bazzite, but isn't it heavy on packaged apps with snap or flatpak? Inherently space inefficient (and I despise them both passionately).

    Don't update all the time. I update every couple of days like a maniac, but once every few weeks is fine too.

    There's a distro for every level of "I want to do it myself" vs "I want everything to be made ready for me".

  • I just use my (static) IP directly with port forwards on my router.

    Sure, I get hundreds of login attempts every day, but that's just life on the internet. Just secure your stuff and you're fine.

    You could also use some paid service like Cloudflare if you want to hide it for some reason.

    But generally people are overly protective of their home IP. What's the danger? DDoS?

    People know my physical address but my house hasn't been burned down yet..
