  • I think it is fine if you install the games on a PC that

    • Doesnt contain any personal data and is only for playing PC games

    • Is never connected to a network, public or private (always offline)

Otherwise I wouldn't recommend ever installing HyperVisor, and if you do, wipe the drive and reinstall the OS. Maybe even better, wipe the drive, destroy it, and then replace it with a new drive. That is the best way to know for certain there is no security compromise on the drive.

  • PirateSoftware has as much credibility as he does mana.

  • g_saberrealisticcombat

But it was patched out of the new releases and even g_sabermorerealistic was set to write protected so you cant change it.

    Imagine.

  • You don't happen to spend a lot of time at the Pentagon... Do you?

(This is a reference to the Pentagon Pizza Index)

  • The Russians are considering building an Ekranoplan again and they need to test whether the vessel will be visible enough from the ground to US citizens so picked the next closest sized vessel. They have failed their mission, with complaints from planted ground agents like "it's too small" and are returning to the Motherland to make an even bigger Ekranoplan this time.

EDIT: This just in: the crew's radio signals were intercepted by a member on the War Thunder forums, apparently they said "Just one more Ekranoplan, comrade. Trust me, comrade. This time will be different, comrade." But in Russian, obviously.

  • It would still be better if the controller did not require Steam in order to function.

Even cheap Chinesium USB controllers work out of the box with default drivers pre-installed with Windows and Android (don't know about other platforms).

  • From what I remember, the online check-in was never actually implemented, or it was removed right before the console released. But they were talking about it and the backlash was so strong that they actually made the right call and removed it.

  • For a minute I thought Ouro Kronii was getting her own movie lol

  • Shadows must have done horrendously badly for Ubisoft to be dropping something they felt they knew for certain would be a money printer like Black Flag. Its the kind of remaster the company holds onto for when finances get really bad so they can guarantee at least something in rough waters.

  • Nah, this ad clearly says that girls can play Nintendo DS too! See look at the picture, it says good girls AND bad girls and both of them are holding a Nintendo DS!

  • Which is probably why gaming ads don't look like gaming ads used to anymore.

  • Hope they do not expand too quickly and collapse under themselves.

  • Concerned to see a few things:

    1. "Xbox console is a premium experience." : No. Xbox, and infact all consoles, are the baseline. They are the standard. They are not "premium." Just because Cloud streaming is inferior does not somehow now make console "premium." Calling it premium is something a company does to raise the price of something that costs little more to make than the basic version.

    2. Expanding into China : Xbox has always done poorly in Asia. Its not likely to change any time soon because Asian market is way more likely to buy domestic products simply because they are Asian-made products even if they are an actually inferior product (unless it becomes a money/status symbol). Expanding into China will mean one of two things: A) China gets its own gimped version of the console and games infected with CCP Spyware (which later will get stolen and sold by a China owned company and MS will be ditched, this ALWAYS happens with foreign products sold in China), or B) EVERYONE is going to be forced to deal with the gimped and censored games because of China.

  • Well its not in Unreal Engine, so it has a decent chance of not having awful performance barely being masked by an upscaler.

  • Maybe 343 in mustache glasses "Halo Studios" should figure out how to make a Halo game first before they start making spin off games.

  • Xbox Live Silver subscription: Free - provides basic online functionality for games that require it and basic features like Friends list, but does not include premium features such as online matchmaking or voice chat. 1GB of cloud storage for game save files only.

Xbox Live Gold subscription: $5 USD / mo - includes Silver, and all premium features including online matchmaking and voice chat. 5GB of cloud storage for game save files, video clips, message inbox, or other console related data.

Games should be $60 USD or less one time purchase, FREE with MTX or paid expansions, or some other monetization, or $40 one time purchase with optional expansions at $10 or less each that only gate new content and not game improvements, pre-existing content, or QoL. Removing, deleting, "sunsetting," or otherwise making previously accessible content inaccessible is grounds for publisher and/or developer total removal from the platform. All digital games must be discounted at least by the calculated cost of producing physical goods per unit.

No subscription model for renting digital games. Game licenses are non-revokable, but include a clause that states that players access to online features may be removed if they are determined to be cheating, exploiting, or otherwise playing unfairly with regards the rules of the game.

The games market should be survival of the fittest. Developers should be encouraged to make the best gameplay experience they can, not the best ATM they can. Players will want to play games that are fun and have a monetization model they agree with. Let players decide, not executives.

  • The sequel might require players to have played previous games in the series to understand the story.

  • Bit of a conflict of interest from the quote, considering the quote in the title is from one of GameNative's developers.

"North Korea will definitely be the most powerful nation in the world, that could replace every other country and government, says Kim Jong-un."

  • Now let's see PirateSoftware's opinion. He doesn't ever talk about it, but he was Blizzard's first second-generation employee. Surely he has an important opinion to share on all this.
