  • actually I'll link my other stuff here and ya can reach out there

    https://linkstack.lgbt/@RosethornRanger

I would be interesting in modding something and helping build these spaces, but there are specifics to talk about i think

  • do you have discord or matrix? Could be useful to talk more there. I don't actually check here often currently

  • it is about what ableist language is, as well as things such as how it impacts disabled and neurodivergent people, and how you can go about not using it

ya know, like how calling things "autistic" as an insult doesn't help us, an example in the video. Seems p cut and dry that it fits in here

  • Autism @lemmy.world

A short intro to ableist language by an autistic person

  • Neurodiverse for Adults (18+) @lemmy.ml

a short intro to ableist language

  • Neuroqueer @lemmy.blahaj.zone

A short intro to ableist language

  • Neurodivergent @discuss.online

A short intro to ableist language

  • Disability Community @lemm.ee

A short intro to ableist language

  • I tried to make an account there and was denied, so I think somebody else will have to for me lol

  • as a queer disabled person, progressive spaces are far from ones I feel safe in.

  • I posted another video on ableism and it got over 10 downvotes and it was much more specific in the title

  • I am one person so idk what you expect lol

what even is "incoherent" about it? It is meant to be the most general overview and touch on each aspect of the topic, not one of your 8 hour video essays 4 people watch and less act on

  • I mean look, its already being downvoted with this milquetoast title

my trans shit was downvoted too

  • it does, but sadly I have a suspicion some people in this sub might not watch it if i included that

  • Progressive Politics @lemmy.world

A short video on how language can hurt people with disabilities

  • Leftism @lemmy.world

A short introductory video to the basics of ableist language

  • did you even watch the video?

  • Progressive Politics @lemmy.world

Short video on how putting cis people in charge of trans people is transphobic

  • Leftism @lemmy.world

    Is democracy transphobic?

  • Leftism @lemmy.world

Video on how law does not center the victims

  • there are many non fascists willing to be "converted", only targeting those least likely to join is the losing strategy lol

  • if you assume everything you could try will succeed you will be found dead at the bottom of a cliff

there is a difference between guaranteed failure and efficiency as well

from this comment my assumption is that you didnt watch the video. I think you should probably focus on context before jumping into a conversation

  • that is not online, the circumstances are very different. This also doesn't stop them from doing fascism, it just changes what fascism they do. I am not sure the impact of that is all too great

it probably just convinces them to focus on attacking disabled people, women, queer people, etc

  • Leftism @lemmy.world

Short video on why we should block fascists instead of debating them online

  • Progressive Politics @lemmy.world

Video on how law does not center the victims

  • the diagnosis is literally "special interest is one a fascist thinks they can use"

this group is filled with reactionaries

yall are literally saying "damn the nazi made nazi race science, I didn't expect that but I like nazi race science so I think we should keep it"

  • people here think "scientific terms" are not social constructs? Yall, scientific models are models they aren't reality itself

anyways, go subscribe there and talk in my discord if you want to talk to people realistic about this shit

  • im autistic, its an identity

    identities are real things too

I would encourage you to stay in your lane

  • which is why I post stuff like this, shows you how many reactionaries are lurking in our spaces and shaping what opinions we see

  • the anti-AI hate is something I see all the time in leftist spaces, and I have seen that weaponized against autistic people again and again

  • at the end of the day, puberty is an incredibly political situation, with lots of right wingers attacking trans people over it. It has a lot of crossover with things such as sexism as well
