Hi, I'm lana a non-binary person cursed with being french. I like to produce garbage code, cooking and gardening. My body is holding together with tape and denial and I'm all out of tape.

  • Sadly no. AI hardware does not relies on the same fundamentals as consumer hardware.

    Long story short AI stuff use Float 4 or 8 because accuracy is not a factor. Games or physics simulation use Float 32 or 64.

( See franceinfo for exemple https://www.franceinfo.fr/elections/resultats/ where "extreme gauche" is not including LFI ) Their program is not far left and that's what matter when observing a party that's know to stick to it's program before everything else.

    The conseil d'etat statued as much in 2024 ( https://environnementsantepolitique.fr/2024/06/21/pour-le-conseil-detat-la-france-insoumise-nest-pas-un-parti-dextreme-gauche/ ) and that was only put into question by the Interior minister this year ( something he have no right doing but our current government wipe their asses with the constitution daily ).

    Putting LFI on the same ground as RN is dangerous, one is a party made by facist and nazi that as put a new coat of paint but didn't change and the other is a left party at best that is lead by idiots that have weird sympaties for authoritharian regimes.

  • I've a lot of gripes with LFI (notably on this point) but calling them hardcore leftist is just wrong.

    Actual far left parties are NPA or LO in France.

    Saying LFI is far left is like saying the german SDP or Joe Biden (US) are far left. They are left-center/left at best, their program is no more radical than Mitterant.

  • I would recommend learning basic HTML CSS and making a website without external tools. This way the maintenance cost is 0 as your website will likely work forever.

    Write all your HTML first then your CSS, it will be easier this way. Use vanilla JS if you need to but avoid external libraries , same for php.

    Hope Agnès Pannier-Runacher make it on the list as she is the most partial president the assembly ever saw.

  • Let me preface with this : I own a framework 13 and I recommended framework until the controversy.

    Framework is pricier than any other alternative and have a weaker supply chain of spare parts, the only upside of framework should be an ethical one. You buy framework because their values not because it's the best option. Framework talking about "big tent" while sponsoring outright facist ( There is no other word for DHH ) is not acceptable and is a spit to the face to all people who choose to believe in them to push for ethical hardware.

    I would recommended only buying framework on technical merits or going for another manufacturer like tuxedo, starlabs or slimbook or the mainstream one ( Lenovo, dell ).
