  • We are a desert climate and the sunniest city in Canada. I have 2 large rain barrels and it wasn’t enough.

Also, little rabbit hole if you want to go down. It’s not recommended to collect roof rain water (caveat, especially shingles 99% here), due to the chemicals in the tar, and for every roof, diseases from bird and rodent shit on the roof.

Fine for flowers and other stuff though.

  • Working construction they’ll just give you a booster anytime you come in for an injury and it’s “expired”.

  • At least those are currently easily coverable with buckets or cloaches.

I’ll risk a few in a couple weeks to see if I can start hardening them in the cold frame.

There’s still risk of snow until the end of May though, and I mean like a foot in a day, so it’ll just crush anything not covered.

  • I’ve got about 300sq/ft to plant with, so it’s totally a judgment call at planting week. I’ve got my non-dominate hand carpal tunnel surgery this week, so I’ve been planning on only having these. But if I feel up to it, I’ll plant some straight to ground stuff like peas, radishes and carrots, but I’m expecting thinning to be a pain (pun intended).

None of my neighbors really garden, they’re all just having kids age, so under 4 years old for most of them, mine are 9 and 8. And friends, all have too busy of lives to try and risk the weather gauntlet here.

Last 2 years have had water restrictions as well, so couldn’t legally water with tap water, had to collect rain and hand water. That puts a damper on people’s spirits unfortunately.

Halfway point. Peppers are about 4 weeks old, and 4 weeks of frost left.

  • Just spin the ship.

  • You can dirt for free around here.

  • We call them trunkslammers, been around forever.

  • I mean one requires a few clicks, the other requires effort, time and more steps.

I also don’t rewatch stuff frequently, there’s no point in keeping it after other than taking up space or data.

  • They weren’t disagreeing, they were refusing to acknowledge with evidence and proof were provided that they were wrong. Refusing to provide sources to support their side. Than lashed out.

No, I don’t. You have your rules and should know them. Dont make excuses for not wanting to follow the rules you made.

It’s the most popular app, so you’re full of shit.

  • As far as I'm aware there isn't a massive problem with people having others take demerits for them. It's more like the occasional thing someone might do to help a friend who is on their limit.

I’d take 25k to take 3 demerits (I’m sure you can find a couple dozen patsies to rotate as needed easily) that are gone after a few years, there’s gonna be plenty of people willing to do it, there’s also courses to take that reduce demerits too. You’re admitting it’s possible, it happens, but refusing to acknowledge that it can be problem. You say you’re worried about people just paying fines, your system is no better and objectively worse, but you’re eating the bullshit dude.

Your government is complicit, because they made rules allowing this to happen… and they profit lol. There’s a reason why your country is probably the only one like this. What country has these crappy rules?

  • You JUST said they can pay someone to take their demerits dude… the system doesn’t work, it provides the loophole for that guy to continue doing it regardless.

Now the government is complicit. And you would be locking up and taking rights away from innocent people too. Great system.

  • Yes, hence why the fine goes against the vehicle. You didn’t commit a moving violation, so to be giving demerits for something you didn’t do is a slap to your rights lol.

And your bottom comment is exactly why the system shouldn’t exist…

What country is this anyway? I’m gonna avoid going there.

  • That doesn’t sound like a very friendly system, that’s against basic rights. You shouldn’t be faulted for someone else’s actions.

It’s up to you to get the money from your friend, that’s risky enough to let them drive. If you’re gonna be responsible anyways, there’s literally no point in letting someone else drive your vehicle.

That’s not a system we should be promoting.

  • The app doesn’t let me select a specific rule, only a generic reason, you know your own rules and can deal with it no? Why do you need your own rules spelt out, they were off topic and trolling, both rules that are broken.

I justified my side, just like your rules said, not my fault you don’t want to enforce them. And we are supposed to report rule breaking comments for you to deal with yeah? If not how do you know about them? So you’re bitching I’m doing what I’m supposed to do? What a fucking mod. Someone was breaking the rules, I reported the comments, what do you suggest I do? Not follow your own rules?

And if you’re only on here every few days, get help, what a fucking mod lol.

  • Your friend can be driving the vehicle, they know the vehicle sped, but not who was actually driving. So demerits aren’t issued.

  • Yes they said desert or Canada, so the person said Canada also has deserts, to which you said, “only cold and boring”. Which I nicely corrected you on.

  • What’s that got to do with you saying the only deserts Canada has are cold and boring?

    There’s even tropical deserts fyi.

Mildly interesting. The receipt that was stashed in the cover, I assume from the purchase in Jan or Jun of 96, kept the cover from being faded.
