  • Cameras don't prevent crime. They don't prevent accidents. They're at most used to find afterwards what happened.

By the time a cop would decide to bother and check the cameras, and find you in the footage, and trace your steps through the various cameras, you would have been back on your own already.

The ideas that cameras are a matter of security for the people is propaganda. They are here to destroy privacy and allow the elimination of opponents and dissidents, they don't really care about crime. Doesn't mean that cops would never use them for other purposes, but they definitely don't care as much as you think. And of course, caring isn't the same thing as being able to do anything in a reasonable time.

  • So many critical bugs and security holes have been made from an oversight of the people handling the code.

Now you want to tell me that instead of having people write code that tries to make sense, and then review it (sometimes a bit too late), you want to have an hallucination machine produce some code randomly, then have people "fix" it, then review it?

This is just a recipe for disaster.

AIs are not "AIs", they're just bullshit generators that everyone is falling for. Technical debt and lack of code reliability were the main problems of software dev, and AIs are sacrificing those two specifically, just in exchange for the illusion of speed.

If you train monkeys to pile up bricks, it doesn't make a house, it makes a disaster waiting to happen. And monkeys, unlike AIs, are actually intelligent and sentient, which would make them more reliable still.

  • I'm not very familiar with the english terms for it, but as far as I understand you are completely right. The blades I'm using are looking like a hair more than a blade, and so it's possible to be pretty accurate with them (and also very easy to break them, which is less fun)

  • The whole shape is cut with a jeweler's saw, which has a blade so thin that you can do very detailed work with it

  • If it does, what's the point of using meat at all?

  • But fishes don't look like us, so it's okay.

    That's what matters right?

  • Macron is much, much worse than useless

  • I mean they already do that, at least if it were official it would give a legal way to get rid of them

  • Still less likely to be introduced to it.

  • Yeah I definitely don't want to know more about your various opinions on sociopolitical subjects.

  • For the nintendo switch for example, it makes it hackable or not.

For other consoles where it matters less, it can be to get information about hardware inside and such, as consoles can sometimes change internal components without changing the name of the console, and the serial number would be a way to determine it I guess.

Edit: what the other comment said better, basically
