  • Yes. US and Chinese.

  • Only one possibility. The police are pro-genocide.

  • The more billionaires take at the expense of the many, the more you will see forced labour being used. Xinyang now. Soon, Aligator Auswitch.

  • And there people were joking about Trump giving Putin Alaska.

  • So the UK is directly engaging in genocide rather than only indirectly?

  • Corporations and fascists. Name a more iconic duo.

  • Thank goodness I left this sithole country.

  • Indeed

  • Why are we signing a surrender "trade" deal with the US?

  • We should not be signing trade deals with countries that sell out Ukraine, we should instead massively tax their tech companies and try to pop their AI bubble.

  • "Harsh conditions" is what happens when you live under fascism. If you die fighting it, you don't live under harsh conditions, you're dead.

  • I'm not talking about "a line" but if a whole bunch of people downvote you that means you failed to convince them which is the point of rhetoric.

  • Better die fighting fascism than live under it.

  • It's not good rhetoric if it alienates people.

  • So now they pay people absurd amounts to take drugs?

  • I support Yvette Cooper.

  • They don't. There are still regulations, particularly in Europe, that restrict what corporations can do. Many countries have strong unions and labour rights such as France, Belgium and Scandinavian countries. Activists document what the powerful do and organise protests against them. Contrast that with actual totalitarian regimes such as China and what the US is turning into.

  • Because corporate-backed governments want to control their citizens.

  • I had a friend who was like that (and still is) but he refused to see his problem, to get therapy, and also kept insisting I help him with various things that I couldn't help with or that he could do himself. It's easier to not be friends with that guy than to fix the unfixable.
