  • I like adding strength workouts, especially focusing on my shoulders and back.

  • Obesity is linked to higher risk for many cancers

  • I bought it while I was there, but online, so I don't see a reason it wouldn't have worked elsewhere. E-sim don't need to be shipped, you just get an email and you need a phone that can handle an e-sim.

  • I have a prepaid e-sim that I use for my second country phone number. I had to put 5 euros on it and pay 5 euros extra or something, and after that I only pay when I use up the money. Only disadvantage is you have to use it once every two months or they deactivate it.

Famous french bouldering forest at fontainebleau on fire

  • I lift heavy, but I don't think my wrists will ever be strong enough to lift a castiron pan one-handed. I even did specific wrist training at some point. Tiny womens wrists want to stay tiny apparently.

  • Nice! Luckily there are a lot of volunteers.

  • Yes, as a woman that does not like shopping, I still have to buy clothes more often than my boyfriend. Even with a relatively stable weight (+/- 3 kilos over the years) clothes stretch out and loose form, which makes the fit bad. The shirts that survive are the shirts with a more boyish loose cut, the form-fitting stuff looks bad after a while.

That said, I do put them in the home/nightwear category until significant holes appear or they don't feel comfy anymore.

  • I don't know what makes me stand out, but there are some habits french people have that I keep being surprised by. Especially the kisses to greet people, even when you meet for the first time or among colleagues or distant friends. In the netherlands I only kiss family members as a greeting.

Apparently eating on the go is a very non-french thing to do and my boyfriend is usually the only one on his commute that eats breakfast on the train.

Then, we had to learn that you can never just poor water or wine for yourself when at a dinner. You must ask everyone if they want a refill. That one is easier to get used to though.

We're also the only ones that take out bike to the local "centre commercial" to do our weekly shopping. Although commuter bikes are becoming a more frequent sight, buying more than a few things by bike is very weird here.

  • As a former commuter turned commuter/roadie. Join the cult! It's fun! We have aero socks and haribo!

  • Why don't they just have a basin that fills with water? Would be much easier for moving.

  • I just love them too much.

  • Very different depending on how I have dressed. High collar or sweater or professional wear, I think you are aweful. Low-cut shirt, bikini, cute outfit, I'm expecting and tolerating you. I only get happy when it's my boyfriend staring.

  • I remember in the moulin rouge, they translated "let's make love" word for word. Laten we de liefde maken.

  • In the netherlands we have an award for the most misleading commercial/advertisement/packaging.

  • Have you tried the deepl translator? You can click on the translation and it gives alternatives.

  • I enjoy bouldering, so I have scrapes all over all the time. However, even when I'm not climbing for a while I am covered in bruises and scrapes, so maybe I'm just clumsy.

  • I had never seen that before I came to the US, tv's are only supposed to be in sports bars, why are they everywhere?

  • The whole point is we have authentic food from most countries available to us in Europe. Immigrants and cultures mixing is not unique to the US. What we don't have is all the big chain fast food that we see on tv, but have never tasted. We get excited because we get to try "authentic american" fast food.
