    VI

    X is my all time favorite though. I'm glad it got a sequel for its epilogue. The world building is phenomenal. The way Pyreflies, Aeons, Fiends, and more are incorporated into Spira makes the world believable.

    My only gripe is that in the thousand years since Sin's appearance, only five summoners have succeeded in bringing a Calm. That just seems so unlikely, and it makes more sense to me if there were more successful pilgrimages. Otherwise why bother keeping the pilgrimage as a practice?

    It's so jarring watching something online and noticing the person awkwardly skirting around the most accurate words to describe what they're talking about.

  • I'd hoped i wouldn't have to make an exception for safety, but yes, if you have to survive by saying nothing when someone says bigoted shit, that's your business.

    But people look the other way when safety isn't at stake. I don't want anybody to be homeless because of me, but I would hope that someone who believes in solidarity would risk some social standing when someone starts dropping slurs.

    But what about my second question? Why are conservatives like Liz Cheney or Mitt Romney getting treated like heroic politicians by blue voters?

    There is a level of respect that liberals have for conservatives in the US.

    A lot of liberals like conservatives and want them to see the world their way. They think conservatives are misguided but redeemable.

    I'd say their success rate is pretty high. They might not be killing people in the streets, but they are killing people.
