  • I watched local news for years after I gave up on cable news because of the enfoxification of it all, but then they all became 24/7 political ads and I just couldn't fucking take it anymore. I don't watch any news at all now. I watch the weather segment they post on their website. Other than that, I read Lemmy/Mastodon. I'm constantly downloading media to my Plex server and when I want to watch something that keeps me busy. Never commercials again. I don't know how anybody does it without losing their shit.

  • Personally I think this guy is attracted to this picture because her musculature reminds him of a man and he's attracted to men, which he loathes about himself.

    Millions of years of evolution has honed the drive for sex to the finest of points. So much so that repressing all expressions of it (Christianity's #1 tenet of faith) makes the human animal basically sit there and obsess about it 24/7. It literally takes over their brains and bodies.

    It manifests in dumb shit like "this woman is so muscular she looks like a man and so having sex with her would basically be homosexuality" - if you look at the tortured logic, you can see it's their fevered brains working overtime in service of justification of their forbidden attraction to men.

    They get into government to force these thoughts to be against the law because they are unable to fight millions of years of evolution of their own accord. Make no mistake, the sex drive wins. They go out and fuck anyway, they just torment themselves (and everybody else) over it.

    It's a big problem for the world. Religion is absolute cancer.

This will run them off, which is a win-win for the state, as they use infrastructure magnitudes more than normal people and give back less than nothing - being as they are laser-focused on sucking up every resource in their vicinity. This will give any such state a distinct competitive advantage over states that allow themselves to be exploited.

  • It's actually not cheaper because they tack on $10 or $20 or whatever the charge is for the car wash to the bottom of your bill after charging you the "lower" price for gas. Usually they're good for a week or two and they're hoping you'll forget about it altogether but even if you do use the car wash, what they have charged you is 1000% more than the car wash costs them. It's scammy all the way around, very typically American, sadly.
