  • This one is a good read, wish there was a good way to camouflage my license plate from these readers.

  • Holy shit, this is a new level of trolling. I bet the his buddy's were laughing up a storm in the room over.

  • Your honor I was listening to free bird...

  • Here the funny thing, I can still buy plenty of foreign routers on Amazon and in stores

  • Yeah my next step I plan on taking once I get more comfortable soldering is going to the recycling center and finding junk electronics and fixing those.

  • Now is it possible for flux to go bad? The stuff I have is about 30 years old.

    Learning to solder electronics

  • If I had to guess the cellar was probably in use well before the original home owners built on the land. I'm guessing your in the US because your using imperial, you could try looking up land deeds as this might have been a huge farm that got divided up into multiple different properties. Or if your able to get into contact with the former owners maybe they will have a story tell.

Edit: if your able to find a stamped company name on the bricks or a burned on brand with the wood that could help you narrow it down, also do those nails have a square head or round head?

  • If those were buried about 5 inches below dirt that has to at least be quite a few decades not being used. I would give it a minimum of 60 years as a rough guess.

  • Those stairs look quite old. Could be a food storage area like someone else mentioned. And it makes sense because it's well built and hidden well. Probably to keep passers by and animals out.

  • There used to be a time when things were made to last. I still have a refrigerator that is older then my parents. It's perfectly repairable but consumes a bit of electricity but it's better then buying a new one every 5 years and throwing the old one in a dump.

  • I go outdoors for days on end to get away from the hustle of life, and they pretty much already have. Let me give you a few examples.

Your handicapped? Well let's slap a gate here so handicapped accessible vehicles can't get through, but a 4x4 can just go around the gate. Most of the time there isn't even a boulder or fence stopping that from happening.

You want to camp overnight out in the woods with just a tarp and bivvy sack? Well you better hand over that money, oh and your going to do it were we tell you too. (I just camp wherever, some good camouflage is all you need)

God damnit I have to use a QR code to get a pass WHEN THERE IS NO CELLULAR SIGNAL ON ALL MAJOR CARRIERS. (sorry, just hate how stupid some people are)

Honestly I could go on in more detail but I don't want to write a 10 page essay on this.

  • Well if a kid in a garage can make a partial nuclear reactor... Maybe make an EMP?

Edit: not a true reactor, but he was able to make some parts for it and supposedly got worried about the the amount radioactive material he had and began dismantling it but got caught with radioactive material.

  • I had something similar and it was about $500, thing was a piece of junk. Could barely cut a stick with a diameter of around 3 inches despite being rated for 6 inches (no it wasn't from a hardwood tree)

I ended up selling it for $250 and felt bad for the person buying it thinking that it will clean there yard up from the severe weather we had a year ago.

  • 69kb of ram is enough to explore space but 8gb will struggle to multi task.

  • They have a recieve range of 134-176 I think and 420-480, as long as it's standard analog you should be able program in some fun things to listen to.

I have one setup for railroad frequencies and I hear some unique conversations.

  • Damnit, I stopped distro hopping 2 years ago and settled on fedora. Here I go again

  • In my family we literally have a refrigerator that has been passed down 2 generations. First it was my grandmothers, then it was my dad's and now it's mine.

The thing is a tank, clean it out and do preventative maintenance every so often and it should live longer then me.

  • Some antenna's you can trim if they are reading a high SWR. Another thing thing I do with my mobile antenna is I check for any rust after the winter months because the salt can really wear your antenna out

    Jump
  • I had a person park in front of my driveway, throw on hazards and disappear for an hour and their battery ended up dying. She ended up walking up to the door and asking for a jump. I declined help and somewhat politely informed her not to park in front of driveways.

Few month later it turns out my neighbor was cheating with this woman.
