Her name is Alexandra Elbakyan and she’s the person behind Sci-Hub, a library website that provides free access to millions of research papers, regardless of copyright, by bypassing publishers’ paywalls in various ways.

    And she’s my personal hero. :)

    I'm not in love with the "let's mow down everything and ask questions later" approach for all things. But in this case, I think good will come out of it, in spite of some brief pains.

    The fact is that neither party has done any shit like cleaning up these numbers for as long as I can remember. So on the whole, I think DOGE is doing more good than bad.

    Plus I love the chaos it's causing on Lemmy! lmao

    I actually hope there will be exact numbers, programs, and names, and what their justification was for all of these programs. BOTH sides have been wasting our money for a long time. I want names. lol
