The author reads very much as a conservative apologist who just wants to maintain the status quo of ever increasing wealth inequality. If we truly want to make this country a better place and start addressing our problems there’s no room for “centrists.”
I think it’s just a fad, like Lethal Company and Among Us before it, but might as well enjoy it while you can. It’s a lot of fun to play with a group of friends. Anything that can bring a group of friends together like this for a few bucks seems well worth it to me.
Ethical consumption is impossible under capitalism. We can and should try our best to minimize the amount these shitty companies profit, but completely divesting from them all is impossible.
Surprised that they missed Caterpillar in this list, given it’s significantly larger than John Deere. And yeah, I agree that it wasn’t “caving,” more a convenient excuse to throw their employees under the bus in the quest for short-term profit above all else.
