I'm quite fond of communism, personally.

  • Hexbears seem averse to posting here. When cheap dunking posts were banned, they created another tank comm instead of posting to SRS or SUS. Even now that the tanks are shut, there haven't been any bears that've posted to lemmygrad's equivalent comms.

  • Does that make the dunk tank racist though? I mean, it could be interpreted in a revolutionary way: what once was a tool for humiliating black people is now being utilized against rightful targets, who are largely the people who would've been throwing the balls in the past. A device created for oppression repurposed into an instrument of justice for the oppressed.

idk I'm not black so take that with a grain of salt. A simple name change would've been fine though.

  • Seems like the only rule on that comm is that it's for hexbears ONLY! A strange restriction considering no one even posts there but I'm not a hexbear mod so what do I know haha

  • Always the same map + Russia

  • That's named after indigo not India I think

  • A map of countries that had periodic elements named after its citizens would look the same too

  • Right, there was that one dweeby guy who wrote an actual paper about us. Wasn't that before hexbear started federating? I wonder how he heard of one without the other.

  • It's wild how much flak lemmygrad gets considering most threads here get single-digit likes and comments. Even if we stayed federated, they probably wouldn't see posts from us unless they subscribed to genzedong or freechat. It makes me feel honored that we're considered as much of a threat as hexbear hahaha

  • Isn't that more like pouring gasoline on a fire that Americans created themselves? These influencers already had long careers being fascist with much support from their audience before being contacted by Tenet media. It isn't Russia mind-controlling America, it's some chuds from RT signal boosting their fav celebrities.

Also there are many other unrelated outlets that spew the same bullshit: the Daily Wire, Breitbart, Babylon Bee, PragerU, etc. And they all throw around more money than ten million dollars (not that that isn't a lot of money, but it's definitely not enough to sway the politics of an entire country lol)

Americans place a lot of emphasis on Russian influence because it provides cover for homegrown fascism, justifies their war against Russia, and directs attention away from international American propaganda that is 1,000,000x more pervasive and effective.

  • It's still a washing machine but top-loading instead of front-loading. It'd be weird to have a rotom toilet because its whole thing is possessing motors, which toilets don't have.

  • Lastima que México está tan lejos de Dios pero tan cerca a los EEUU

  • the north star wars

  • Yeah I think what AI is exacerbating is the tension between creativity and commodity. Businesses don't celebrate art, they seek profits. Images, articles, music, and whatever else are all simply products to sell under capitalism. Turning every artist into a copyright lawyer won't change the fact that their creations are ultimately still commodities.

I see a lot of arguing over the definition of "art" but that's beside the point. The problem is the entire bourgeois concept of property and the way capitalism impoverishes the working class so that they must spend their lives selling their labor.

  • Wasn't Australia couped in the 70s by one of those "ceremonial power only" royal henchmen?

  • Yeah, by "natural" I didn't mean innate or absolute. All languages are made up and for some reason these languages made up the rule that you have to put The before certain words. People can get pretty worked up about language quirks like that. Iirc there was a thread on hexbear about exactly this some time ago (translating das Kapital into Capital in English)

  • Isn't that just how the language works though? Like, it sounds unnatural to say certain nouns without adding "the" to the front. Spanish does that too, it's why Das Kapital is called El Capital in Spanish but just Capital in English.

  • Looks like a great person to command an army and teach at a monastery. Perhaps even brawl against Mario

  • The fact that damn near 100% of Latin Americans speak Spanish and are Catholic speaks to how thorough Spanish colonialism is. Hell, the fact that "Latin American" as a racial category even exists is a testament to their indigenous erasure. There's so much Zionist apologia from Western powers about how Jews need a homeland to protect their religion and culture. Well, where's the fervor for a Maya state? And a Muisca state? And a state for the dozens of other peoples that also suffered genocide at their hands?

The damage caused by the Spanish empire is so extensive that reparations are never remotely entertained, or even fucking mentioned, because it would ruin smol bean Spain. And we can't have that! Not Spain!!!

  • Has anyone else here played Yokai Watch? It always gets left out of the monster-collector discourse even though they're the best games on the 3DS. I wish it was more popular in the west so that the fourth game would get localized already.
