  • Its good to see that most people like this show. I thought it was a balst.

  • Ahh yeah that makes sense. That'd be a pain in the ass if it was for every build.

  • I love lemmy. Thank you so much for your detailed response and fantastic article, its exactly what I was looking for. Seems like the bottleneck isnt really the infra. Definitely a difficult problem to solve.

    Question about build times

  • She looks sick. Been waiting to see some toph

  • Just started using helix a few months ago and I'm in love. The movement took a second to get used to but its super efficient once you get the hang of it. I highly recommend it, especially if you're doing any kind of programming or sysadmin work and you hate gui ides.

  • And so it begins. Glad I switched to tofu.

  • Not all heroes wear capes.

  • Good haul. Saga is godlike

  • Good shit, thank you!

  • Good looks, I'll check it out!

  • Pen and paper for taking notes and understand that reading comprehension is a resource that has a cooldown. In other words, take breaks and learn how to glean information while reading quickly. Its a skill and it takes time. This is a decent breakdown of some academic reading techniques.

Lastly, practice and experiment. There's a difference between knowing things and memorizing, and knowing things is only half the battle. Its really hard to feel like you're progressing if you cant apply what you've learned when the time comes. Practice takes the the things you've memorized and turns them into things you know. My advice on practicing is to get weird, have fun and enjoy the discovery of learning new things. It makes the process of 'sucking until you dont' so much more enjoyable.

  • Yeah this is a great idea. I was thinking of doing something similar but saw someone mention cloudflare tunnels in another post and figured I'd ask the community. I appreciate you!

  • 100% agree. That's why I don't exactly love the idea of using them more...

  • Selfhosted @lemmy.world

    Cloudflare Tunnel?

  • Good shit bro! You love to see it

  • Ctrl + p is the way.

  • I briefly visited Belgium for 2 weeks back in 2014. I went with a big group of people who all wanted to use Belgium as the 'homebase' while they traveled to other countries for day trips and such.

My partner and I didn't know shit about Belgium and decided we were going to spend our entire time exploring and learning. We asked our host family for some suggestions for things to do and they recommended Dinant after I said I wanted to see some castles. They also warned us that people in the south mostly spoke French and didn't really like English speakers that much.

We planned to go to Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, and Dinant with Dinant being the first stop on our tour. It was like a 5 hour train ride through some of the most beautiful countryside I've ever seen. I remember feeling like I was in a literal painting as I was passing by fields of golden wheat and cottages with legit waterwheels. It was surreal.

Dinant did not disappoint. The people were super nice and welcoming. The food was godlike. The castle and museum were top notch. We liked it so much we stayed for an extra 2 days. Which kinda fucked up our schedule but it was well worth it.

I miss Belgium every day. I miss Ghent and Dinant the most. Best trip I've ever had. 10/10 highly recommend.

  • I been competing in fighting game tournaments for over a decade. Its a blast, even if you suck. The fighting game community is one of the most welcoming competitive environments I've ever been apart of. 10/10, highly recommend.

  • Mass Effect Andromeda. I feel like I'm the only person on the internet who liked the ending of ME3 but holy shit Andromeda was fucking awful.

  • Literal best phone I've ever had. Never had any problems getting apps to work. That said, idk whats going to happen now with the changes to the aosp
