    Third, the country needs larger and more flexible industrial capacity. Until recently, a single factory made all of America’s Tomahawk cruise missiles, and there is a constant shortage of Patriot missile interceptors. Congress should pass laws that help the private sector build up its manufacturing capacity. The Pentagon, for its part, needs to stop buying so many of its weapons from just five big weapons makers and start betting on dynamic tech companies that can quickly adapt.

    Expand the MIC! The problem is we have too few defense contractors. And the solution to that is to subsidize more.

    Martin’s decision to withhold the report doubles back on a pledge he made just hours after he was elected to be the DNC’s chair in February. In comments to reporters, Martin committed to the public release of the 2024 report.

    At the time, he also questioned why the DNC hadn’t released its 2016 autopsy, when he questioned, “what happened with that … was there any utility in doing that?”

    “Of course it will be released,” Martin said in February, referring to a future review on the 2024 election.

    Umm, ok? Why should this be important? Driver's licenses should be about driving, not residency or being a unique identifier. If you want to take a road test in multiple states you're just extra licensed. It never should have been coopted for anything more.

    There may be realpolitik analyses of empire that can convince people preemptive aggression to protect your national interests is good, but it's not fucking progressive. You have no real principles, you only care about whatever opposes America. Go make a sub about that and you and your sad friends can rile each other up about how it's actually cool and progressive if China conquers Taiwan and Japan for being allied with America.
