  • It can be configured that way. But by default macOS behaves like Android/iOS keyboard. Personally, I’ve never had to long press to repeatedly type a key. Why is that a useful feature?

    Me and most people I know would rather shift than travel 150kms a day. Can’t imagine the toll it would take on me, my fuel budget and my car

  • Much like Apollo, most of the community css and user profile customisations are not available on the mobile app. But the user page does exist and all you need is click on user name

  • Its not too intuitive to find extensions. For instance, there’s no extensions store. You search in the App Store. Some apps by default come with an extension (1Password, Apollo, etc.)

    Adblock is actually good. So good that I had to uninstall because the shopping links from Google didn’t work!

  • It’s not even the internet. Conservatives are more likely to stick to existing stuff and not experiment much. Liberals do that.

    This is why places like YouTube have a big conservative audience. Places like Lemmy will have a huge liberal audience

    And no, conservatism is not built upon hate. There has to be a left, there has to be a right. And the absence of either would drive us to dictatorship (lack of left wing) or anarchy (lack of right wing)

  • I haven’t been on a very long flight. Longest was 2 hours. Every time I keep my Kindle ready. Have multiple podcasts etc. But right after take-off, I go off like a bulb and wake up only after landing

    Something to do with a combination of pressure difference, engine noise and all. Also it’s pretty cold usually

    With an app built for iOS, these “close on back” was not working
