  • I mean, functionally we do have the tech, but it's just solar farms powering the grid/on rooftop, powering an electric car. Probably more efficient than putting the panel on the car anyways.

  • Honestly, as much as I like the idea of nuclear, it's too late for it to save us. I still believe it can/will be an important and valuable part of our future energy mix as stable, baseline power production, it is just so damn slow to get new plants up and running compared to the timeline that we need to get off of fossil fuels. And stuff like SMRs that hopefully will not have as bad of lead times are not quite there yet either.
