  • I do use Mullvad, and I’m Mullglad to hear it’s fixed too

  • Spigen fan here too, for probably the same amount of time. I’m using the MagArmor case on my 12 Pro currently, I’ll be getting the same for the 15 PM when I buy that phone, assuming they’re still making that case

  • I haven’t had issues with the sync yet. I would’ve thought it would be the limited features of the free version that people didn’t like. Maybe I haven’t used it enough to deal with syncing issues yet?

  • I got an Apple silicon case for my 12 Pro, my girlfriend got one for her 13, my dad got one for his 12 Pro Max. All three fell apart rather quickly. My dad also had the Apple clear MagSafe case for his 12 Pro which broke in multiple places. I now use a Spigen slim MagArmour case, my dad uses the same once he upgraded to a 14 Pro Max. My girlfriend uses a clear magnetic case by Speck. All are in perfect condition still after a year of use each. My girlfriend, dad and I all have physical jobs of varying degrees. My mom also uses a Spigen case for her 12 Pro Max (the exact phone my dad had before the 14 PM) and has had no issues, though it’s worth noting she’s got an office job and she’s not at all hard on her phone cases.

When I was on android, I always used Spigen cases. I think I’ll stick with them when I upgrade my phone this year. I’ve also been tempted by Mous cases as I had one before which I quite liked, but they’re quite a bit more expensive than Spigen.

  • That’s a good point actually, I never thought about that. I might do Joplin with Dropbox in that case

  • I just started using Joplin and I’m quite liking it so far. Opening the task manager on my pc and I can definitely see it likes to use up memory, but hopefully that won’t be much of an issue. It takes a few moments to synchronize but that’s alright. It has more features than the free version of Standard Notes, but SN feels a bit smoother if that makes sense. Still not sure which I prefer quite yet but we’ll see

  • Fair enough. I’m fairly new to caring about my online privacy so I’m still learning. Browser was more of just a preference since I don’t like having an app for everything I use, but if that’s the better way to go for something like this then that’s fine. I like the idea of everything stored locally, but at the same time I like the convenience of having access on my pc and phone. And as I said I don’t store anything secure in notes. If I did need something secure in notes I could use Bitwarden for that I suppose. I appreciate your reply, it’s how folks like me learn. Thank you for your time writing it out

  • Just checked it out, seems solid. I’m going to use a few for a bit and see which I like best, but that one seems to be a pretty good choice. Thanks for the recommendation

  • What do you use for synchronization? Or do you only store everything locally?

  • Currently on a 12 Pro with low battery health and a damaged lightning port. Undecided if I should just replace the battery and repair the port or upgrade phones. I do like the idea of macro photography introduced a couple years ago since I take a lot of close up pictures of small mechanical watch movements, which are hard to capture on my current device. I also like the idea of a better battery life. At the same time I still like my phone and wouldn’t be upgrading if it was in brand new condition still

  • Part of it is also wireless charging I think. A metal back would interfere with that afaik and plastic feels too cheap for a lot of people these days, especially with how expensive phones are getting

  • I prefer Ax

  • Tied for my favourite game ever. Everyone should try it out if you haven’t already

  • Pearson is the absolute worst. I’ll always try to use Hamilton if I can

  • Yeah that’s fair. Sekiro is probably the best game I’ve ever played, so I can definitely relate to your comment. I had a small break of FromSoft games between Sekiro and Dark Souls so that probably helped, I’m not sure if I’d be able to immediately jump between the two. I’m currently jumping between all three DS games (replaying the first one, exploring the second for the first time, and co-op with the third), if I added Sekiro to that I think it would be jarring for sure.

  • I’m a bit ignorant, how would one reset advertising ID?

  • I’m also a privacy-focused iPhone user who’s not too knowledgeable, I hope you get a bunch of responses here. The only one here so far has been helpful

  • Oh man, I bet it has a fantastic soundtrack. I’m really looking forward to one day playing it, but I need a PlayStation first. Or for them to release it on steam, that would be even more awesome

  • That’s fair. I want to be able to solo Midir, I nearly gave up soloing Kalameet in DS1 but forced myself to solo him a few more attempts and that’s what did it. I want to be able to do the same with Midir. I’m not sure how many attempts it’ll take though, Midir has been my toughest boss for sure
