IT Nerd of 30yrs and avid hobbiest of genealogy, geology and science in general.

  • I would love for someone to show a realistic and viable path for this project, but at this pointin time, CA's high speed rail is effectively vaporware. There's literally zero proof to the contrary.

  • "The Crack Combo" sounds better.

Would you like any condiments or napkins for your KFC crack combo?

Yes. I'd like 3 BBQ, 3 honey and 15 crack packets please...

  • I grew up on a small farm doing this, but have since given up the practice in favor of tumbling composter bins for two distinct reasons:

    1. Rodents eventually live in 100% of them where rodents exist and it's immensely unhealthy to humans.

    2. Insects in general are attracted to them and I personally dislike giving certain invasive species any additional food sources.

Tumbling compost bins may not be as easy to maintain, but they definitely get rid of both undesirable insects and animals.

  • Sounds of air hissing out of a balloon.

  • Fun fact: If an owl sees you yawn they may involuntarily yawn as well.

Yawning is a very old trait dating back to common ancestors.

  • Ah yes, when Germans are asked questions that can be taken literally.

  • Looks at 2022 NUC 13 that was bought for work...

    Goddamnit.

  • Light or Chemical pollution will cause blue and green washing of nighttime photos.

Light pollution messes with your camera's white and black balance settings. Similarly, airglow (natural light in the upper atmosphere) will also cause this, but usually only during long exposure shots or in the 3 hours near dawn.

Chemical pollution on yhe other hand can cause the entire spectrum of colors to show in nightime shots. Every chemical has a color signature.

  • Yup, I can confirm this as well: They taste like a dried up chicken that sat in the oven too long.

  • Male Peacocks change from being rather passive to immensely territorial during mating season. This is probably why it became hostile.

My neighbors raised Peafowl for over a decade as both food (meat) and feathers, which are rarher prized by clothier's and hobbiests.

Personally, I hate Peacocks; their mating calls go on all night long and will ultimately make everyone hate them.

Sincerely, listen to this and then imagine it repeating every 10-15 seconds literally all night long between April and September:

  • Ever consider looking at the used market? A used 5800x3d, while it may be risky, is easily half the price of a new.

  • Chinese solar manufacturers: Thanks Trump!

  • Life is like a box of Longbottom Leaf.

  • Figure a 5800x3d = a 7600X variant on most tests, it's a worthy upgrade.

  • What a shitty idea... Imagine smelling that slosh around as you drive around corners.

  • Same. All I see is an all season heater and an increase in my electric bill. Hard pass.
