Thinking about my dogs today, as I was driving home. They died in 2023 and 2024, each after being very ill. I don't process emotions all that well and them being gone still affects me.
I've been using arch (Cachyos) for almost a year and the single time I had to roll back was because I didn't read the notes, just ran the update. Totally my fault. Used the btrfs snapshot roll back and everything was fine.
I run Cachyos (KDE), for 9 months now. It's Arch based. I have had only one problem that I caused myself because I didn't read the docs well enough. Other than that I have had zero issues and it just works.
It's the best distro I've used (previously ran very early Ubuntu, the SuSe for a while, then Mint).
Both of my dogs became very ill (separately, almost 2 years apart) and the kindest, best option was to put them down - their conditions were incurable.
Each of those days was my most painful, as well as the weeks afterwards.
Physically for me, probably a lung/pleura infection.
not.
