  • This is one of those pieces of info I try to slip in whenever possible. I'm a firm believer that celibacy is bad for the mind, body, and soul when it's forced on people. Priests may go into it willingly, but years and years of it with no reprieve does bad things to people's minds. If the church could make one reform that I genuinely believe would be best, it is the celibacy of clergy. Tons of reforms needed, but that one is the one I think needs to happen soonest.

  • Eastern Catholic priests can marry, actually. There are married Catholic priests out there right now, and not because they converted in from Anglicanism after they married (though those exist, too), but fully cradle Catholics who were married before their vocation. Somehow this has not exploded the church or whatever. It is inconsistent and ridiculous.

  • A few weeks ago my boyfriend was chased across the parking lot of his apartment complex by a goose. He took refuge on a bench by the pond.

    At which point the gator living in that pond started coming through the water in his direction. He stood up, ripples stop, gator stops. Sits back down, gator starts coming again. Stands up, it stops. Sits down, gator is a-comin'. He left at that point.

    I am convinced the gator and the goose were in cahoots, and the goose was promised safety in exchange for a sacrifice

  • Me, too! Haha. Little fun fact, in old English rhyming was based mainly on alliteration. So the beginning of words matched instead of the end! Or, at least that's what PBS told me haha

  • Have never tried the Devil's Dandruff, but even without access to Party Parmesan I managed to fit 3 of us in a bathtub once, but I'll grant it was a fairly large tub, and I was mostly bent over the side of it for much of the event. I can't imagine the times I could have had if I partook in Disco Dust. Man, I really missed in trying out party drugs in my youth. But, at least I don't have a crippling addiction to Nasal Nectar or something

    I tried, but I couldn't find a way to fit in even one more term for Sinus Snow, I've failed y'all. I probably could have thought of at least 3 more terms for Jazz Powder if I was actually on Mischief Mist, alas, I am not. That's all I got in me. Goodnight, folks.

    But death of a favored character in a fantasy novel? Never recovered. I still occasionally have moments where I feel like crying over the death of a particular character.

  • One of my favorite things in life is using Latin or Greek plurals on words that it makes absolutely no sense to use them on, and do not follow the rules of any language naturally involved.
