  • considering this is coming from someone who stalked my post history just to reply to a comment from almost a week ago because a post of mine (from yesterday, no less) triggered them so much, and who also felt the need to announce they’d blocked Lemmy’s womensstuff community (https://discuss.tchncs.de/comment/25340974), I’d say: good riddance. 🫶

  • we're on a boat which is an ideal location to be perpetually nude (sunbathing, swimming, no need to go anywhere else, etc.)

  • thank you for coming to my aid in that "girls get made fun of for everything might as well do what you want lol" debacle💖

  • WomensStuff @piefed.blahaj.zone

    make it make sense

  • and don’t even get me started on the “mark this as NSFW, please” police patrolling around here, lmao. (the tamest post you can imagine.)

  • oh, i’ve always found it kind of funny, actually.

the fediverse/lemmy have a very progressive demographic, but they can also be surprisingly prudish when it comes to anything sex-related, especially when it’s coming from a female perspective.

after being on here for months, i’ve somehow been branded as “the horny poster,” even though most of my posts aren’t explicitly horny or freaky. they’re more observational, almost diaristic, in the way they approach these kinds of topics. for example, i don’t find this post horny or freaky at all.

  • just casual nudity

  • Lemmy Shitpost @lemmy.world

    perplexing

  • it’s a troll account (check their post history, their modus operandi is saying outlandish ragebait, they have a comment that goes “if you pay taxes in the US you’re a genocidal maniac” for example). don’t engage or give them any attention, report and move on.

  • yeah, he’s in his 50s

  • I actually thought about this. I don't think when I'm 50 I'll be into older men anymore, since what I consider “older men” now would either be around my age or just old-old men, lmao.

  • Succession for me. I couldn’t stand it. The acting always felt way too self-conscious, like “look at me acting my ass off” instead of anything natural. The dialogue and humor felt really try-hard too, and I hated the cinematography, especially all those weird close-up shots.

  • fem guys already relate to content targeted toward women since their lived experience is closer to that than to the typical man, so no exclusion.

men often do this. post is about something women related -> "but what about the men?". we don't have a duty or obligation to include men in every single conversation. men can also create their own content/conversations, and they should. hijacking/inserting themselves just reeks of insecurity and misogyny.

edit and just to be clear: anyone who finds this post relatable is more than valid and welcome, regardless of gender. it’s just the act of explicitly turning it into a “won’t somebody please think of the men?” thing that really grinds my gears.

    1. the experiences of boys and girls in society aren't comparable.

    2. this post is about girls, going "but what about the boys?" on it is just misogyny.

  • cause traditionally/stereotypically feminine things are seen as stupid, useless, and cringe while masculine ones are seen as serious, deep, and respectable.

trans people also show that being a man is seen as an "upgrade" while being a woman a "downgrade" (trans men don't get a fraction of the hate trans women do). same thing with tomboys-femboys.

plus, a man and woman could do the exact same thing (being assertive for example) & the perception will be different (woman - bitch, man - boss).

  • birdwatching is awesome
