  • Absoluut! Die rare kronkel in de wegenbelasting mag van mij gisteren nog rechtgetrokken worden. En inderdaad, over het geheel genomen mag de algehele autobesitas wel een beetje ontmoedigd worden, want in Zweden, Duitsland enzovoorts kunnen ze er ook wat van.

  • Voor mij is het inderdaad ook kleine elektronica-onderdelen. Voor dingen waar het prijsverschil niet al te debiel groot is, probeer ik lokaler te kopen, maar dat is lang niet altijd überhaupt een optie.

  • I've had that Rwanda from Sprout too, in fact, I currently have it in my cupboard. Truly wonderful beans!

    I live in the Netherlands, so shipping isn't an issue. I grab my beans from Fer in my home town. They tend to stock up on coffees from Dutch roasters like Sprout, Five Ways, DAK and some others too. Always nice to let myself be surprised by a bean I hadn't tried yet.

    They're currently doing a thing with Kolibri, resulting in a really nice Brazilian roast under the Fer label.

    When I'm in Groningen, I sometimes pick up a bag at Koffiestation — it's what we typically will have a bag from at the office, as well.

  • To be honest, stuff not working when it breaks the standard is unfortunate, but I wouldn't blame this on the tool that adheres to said standard.

    You're not inconvenienced by systemd-resolvd, you're inconvenienced by those mail sites doing stuff that doesn't work, possibly as a result of them needing to do something that was slightly flawed to begin with: using DNS records to possibly hold more data than they can per the spec, which, if I understand things correctly, is because of the limitations of UDP traffic.

    Not that that helps you, of course, it's annoying and I recognise that.

  • Running the stuff on someone else's computer still requires a dedicated team for "something serious", unless you stuff everything in specific "serverless" platforms, in which case you're still paying for admins, just not yours.
